The name of Kraft is known to few - in Nazi Germany, it was unsafe to advertise the ability of an astrologer.

Kraft was born in Basel in 1900. Since childhood, he was distinguished from other children by remarkable abilities, but especially excelled in mathematics and statistics.

Kraft's favorite subject was astrology. After graduating from the Faculty of Mathematics, for almost ten years he worked on the book "Fundamentals of Astrobiology", in which he outlined his theory on the possibility of predicting the future of a person based on the study of his type.

Already by the beginning of the 40s of the XX century, Kraft favorably distinguished himself from his fellow astrologers by the encyclopedic knowledge and ability to foresee future events.

At first, the Nazis did not recognize Kraft's talent and persecuted him, since they generally did not like either occultists or Masons. However, Hitler himself, as well as Rudolf Hess and Himmler used his services. Kraft reached the peak of his popularity with the highest authorities of the Reich after he predicted an attempt on Hitler's life between December 7-10, 1939.

Kraft sent the prediction to his friend Fesel, who worked in Himmler's apparatus. After reading the letter, he did not make it public, but hid it away from sin. When, on December 8, a bomb exploded in the beer hall of Bürgenau in Munich, Fesel remembered the letter and sent Hess a telegram, in which he informed about Kraft's prediction.

The astrologer was immediately arrested and sent for interrogation by the Gestapo. Here Kraft's innocence was proven, he was released, and after his release he was assigned to the Propaganda Ministry headed by Goebbels. His responsibilities included deciphering the works of Nostradamus, which Goebbels needed to strengthen the ideological positions of fascism.

Kraft himself was confident that the predictions of Nostradamus contained hopeful prophecies for the fascist Reich and that the Barbarossa plan would bring Germany's success. The overwhelming success of the first days of the war convinced Hitler of the power of the astrologer's gift.

Kraft warned the leaders of the German Reich: in order to win the war, it is necessary to end it before 1943. This was partly true, since Germany reached the peak of its power in 1942, and then its power began to weaken under the blows of the troops of the Soviet Union and its allies.

In 1940-1941. Kraft drew up horoscopes for Hitler and his closest associates. After 1941, its popularity began to fade. In 1942, the astrologer was arrested and thrown into prison, where he had to spend a year. After his release, he was assigned to draw up horoscopes for allied generals.

During the Desert War, Kraft compiled the horoscopes of Rommel and Montgomery. Comparing them, he made the following comment: "Montgomery is undoubtedly stronger than Rommel." He was right.

Continuing his astrological observations, Kraft came to the conclusion that British bombs would soon destroy the propaganda ministry in Berlin. He sent his predictions to the highest authorities of the Reich. The letter was handed over to the Gestapo, and Kraft was arrested for anti-government propaganda.

Conditions in the prison were very harsh, and Kraft's health deteriorated sharply, he contracted typhus. Not yet recovered, he was first sent to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, on November 24, 1944, he was convoyed to the Buchenwald concentration camp, where he died on January 8, 1945.
