At first it was thought that according to the stories of witnesses of the unknown, one can get a complete picture of the life of some extraterrestrial communities, whose representatives fly to us on UFOs. These stories were written down, compared and … in the end we felt that something was wrong. It is not possible to make the desired representation.
And then another oddity came to light. It turns out that for some reason the "alien gentlemen" needed to block most of their lectures in the memory of a person. At first glance, strange actions - first read in front of the kidnapped person for many hours of reports, and even accompanied by video images on the screens, and then with the help of some manipulations make their involuntary guests forget all this.

The first reaction to the assumption that through the contactees some other, new worldview is being introduced into our society, is this: who needs us? It became clear that the complex process, which is now commonly called the UFO Phenomenon, has a very significant interest in how and in what direction the development of mankind is going. Beloved by many science fiction writers, the Strugatsky brothers launched the idea of progressorship into our society, understanding by this word missionary civilizing activity carried out in relation to a society lagging behind in the development of a society by another, more highly developed society. And in the world that was created by their imagination and embodied in several books, they were forced to come to one quite natural problem. If a person interferes in the affairs of another society, it seems good and useful. But it becomes somehow uncomfortable when you guess that next to you, a Homo sapiens, the Crown of Nature, someone is also walking who considers himself even more intelligent. And calmly studies you. And he tries to direct the development of the society you created in some completely different direction, without asking your, human, opinion.
I cannot guess what realities of life A. and B. Strugatsky took in order to put them in the basis of such a concept. I can only say that not in books, but in reality - as they say, here and now - such events take place that sometimes you don't want to believe yourself - so strange, it seems impossible what is happening to you - an ordinary earthly person who has been calm all his life lived and did not think about anything abnormal.
