A robot patrol named Robocop received a police badge and was officially recruited into the Dubai Police. On its first day of work, the robot took up a post in the corridors of the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference. There he patrols the corridors and enjoys taking pictures with visitors. After the event is over, he will work on the street and help his flesh-and-blood colleagues keep order, RT reports.
The humanoid robot is about 170 centimeters tall and weighs almost one hundred kilograms. Robocop is guided in the terrain using a GPS navigator, is able to recognize facial expressions, gestures and can search for suspects using a composite or photograph. He knows how to communicate in six languages, including a good command of English and Arabic.
But the job of a police officer is not only about catching criminals, so RoboCop is able to perform other tasks as well. For example, through it, you can easily and quickly pay a fine that was previously issued to a person.
