Scientists who studied the find came to the conclusion that people of those times had thin features and small body sizes, somewhat similar to people living today on the island of Borneo.
Scientists initially suggested that the skull found belonged to a teenage boy associated with the early ancestors of the Australian aborigines, who arrived in Australia from South Asia across the Pacific Ocean about 60,000 thousand years ago. However, scientists now believe that the first people on the island of Barneo and the ancient aborigines were not relatives at all.
