We are talking with the head of the regional department "Kazan-Cosmopoisk" of a public organization that studies inexplicable phenomena in the air, on land and in water. Our correspondent talked with the chief ufologist of the republic.
How often do you receive UFO signals?
- It happens periodically, in spikes. Sometimes one or two months not a single message, and then a stream for a week. Then another pause, and again the flow. Of all the reports, only ten to fifteen percent defy any explanation.
After receiving the signal, where do you send it?
- If this is a very interesting message and eyewitnesses have evidence - photos, videos, and the object was observed from different points of the city, as, for example, in March in Kazan, then we transfer the information to the leadership in Moscow. And also we enter it in the questionnaire posted on the website www.ufoseti.org. UfoSeti.org. It is a unique open system for collecting information on observations of atmospheric anomalous phenomena, analyzing them and centralizing research. Anywhere in Russia you can read about an unusual fact. After all, it is possible that this object flew over other cities, where it could also be seen and traced its further route.
Is your organization federal, since the central office is located in Moscow?
- This is an all-Russian organization, it works not only in our territory and the CIS countries. There are representations in the USA, Israel, Thailand, France and other countries. The movement is public, on a volunteer basis. We do not receive a salary, everything is at our own expense. I, for example, work in the traffic police. Therefore, our options are limited.

Is Zelenodolsk somehow different from other cities of the republic in terms of saturation or specificity of UFOs?
- Information from your city began to come only in recent years, when local media began to cooperate with us, and there is not much of it yet. As elsewhere, in half of the cases, these are glowing balls of different colors. Flying Chinese lanterns or even landing planes are often mistaken for them, especially when the sound of the engines is not heard by the eyewitness. I myself saw a UFO shining brightly above the ground from the window. At first I thought it was a star, but it did not move across the sky. And in the morning, at the site of the "unidentified object" I found a construction crane with a lantern on its boom …
In our newspaper, we dedicated a publication to balls - so many people saw them. There is a version that these are plasmoids
- I agree with this opinion. Presumably, this is another form of life based on plasma energy. These are intelligent objects, like ball lightning, which also show signs of conscious behavior. Plasmoids can live in a parallel dimension, they are activated in places of geological faults, from which energy emissions occur.

- Rivers most often flow in places of geological faults, they kind of outline them. Take Shoshma, for example. This river originates ten kilometers from the fault, then they run in parallel until they join together. I am sure that if you go there, the locals will surely tell you about UFO sightings.
And where are the anomalous zones in the republic?
- Relatively recently, a lot of signals came from the Spassky, Verkhneuslonsky and Tetyushsky regions, in the nineties -
from Agryz. They say that in Laishev they saw UFOs flying out of the Kama. The same people observed on Vyatka near Mamadysh. And all this, mind you, are the areas of large rivers.
You have been dealing with this topic for more than ten years, do you have an opinion, what is a UFO?
- I think these are mainly representatives of civilizations who live next to us. Some objects come from outside. There are many civilizations - much more than we think.
Why do many scientists claim that we are alone in the universe?
- What is the nuance of their main approach to research? Having discovered a new object or phenomenon, they must fix it, measure various parameters, or simply physically touch it. It is impossible to catch a UFO and then disassemble it into parts. Therefore, ufology -
thankless job. The only thing that we can be content with is photographs, videos or sketched diagrams from eyewitnesses.
"Cosmopoisk" also deals with "drums" and ghosts. What do your experts refer to?
“A ghost and a poltergeist are completely different things. A ghost is the spirit of a person who has not left after death. You can feel it or see it - with a lot of luck. They do not cause harm, except for fear and discomfort.
Poltergeist is a “noisy spirit” that moves objects, throws them, and so on. There are different types of it, including water, fiery. And these are very rare occurrences. According to the reports of the Poltergeist-Cosmopoisk sector, in Russia in 2015, out of ten cases, only three were confirmed. The emergence of a poltergeist in a house is associated with one of its tenants, most often - with children or adolescents, since the cause of the phenomenon can be an unbalanced emotional state of a person.
I do not deny that there are many cases of "contacts" of people with so-called spirits or demons as a result of mental disorders, and we have encountered this more than once.
