Mummy embryo
At the beginning of the 20th century, scientists discovered a small sarcophagus. Initially, this find did not surprise anyone, because in ancient Egypt, it was customary to store human organs in such small sarcophagi. But upon further investigation, it turned out that there were no organs inside at all. There was a mummy of an embryo, which was at the developmental stage of 16-18 weeks.
This sarcophagus dates back to the period between 664 and 525 BC. e. Scientists call this discovery unique, because this mummy can be called the "youngest" of all known at the moment.

Dead Sea Scrolls
The Dead Sea Scrolls are one of the most important archaeological finds in history. For several years, scientists have been exploring caves near the Dead Sea. Their research resulted in several thousand parchment fragments. It is noted that the information contained on these scrolls is related to the Jewish biblical canon.
Scientists now believe that more documents of this type can be found if research continues. By the way, these scrolls are in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
Chichen Itza pyramids
In Mexico, on the Yucatan Peninsula, there is the El Castillo pyramid. Its construction dates back to about the 1st millennium AD. e. The amazing thing about this structure was that inside it, according to archaeologists, there are 2 more pyramids. The main interest is that they were built much later than the pyramid of El Castillo.
At the moment, scientists are trying to find some way to get inside without destroying its walls.
Beloved of the Neolithic Age
In the area of the city of Mantua, which is located in Italy, a couple of skeletons were found several years ago. These are the skeletons of a young man and woman who were buried about 6,000 years ago. The archaeologists who studied this pair stated that double burials from the Neolithic times can be found very rarely, and in such an unusual position they see skeletons for the first time.
This couple is also called Romeo and Juliet. This is due to the fact that not far from the place where the skeletons were found is Verona, about which Shakespeare wrote in his work.
A tomb was discovered in Amphipolis. Inside the tomb, two tall marble statues were found that guarded the entrance to the main chamber. These two statues are called caryatids.
The discovery of the caryatids allowed archaeologists and historians to speculate whose grave it might be. According to the first version, Olympia is buried there, according to the second version - Roxana, the wife of Alexander the Great, and the third version generally denies that these burials are somehow connected with the family of Alexander the Great.
