In the ufological literature, one can find the most incredible stories of encounters with alleged "aliens from outer space." Almost all of them seem to be fictional in order to play a gullible public. But it is one thing to read about such incidents in the press, it is another thing to personally interview eyewitnesses who have encountered this, who sometimes, despite the incredible nature of their story, still inspire confidence.
The event, which will now be discussed, took place on the evening of January 13, 1990, but we managed to learn about it and conduct a survey of its participants only in December 2007. The place of events is the village of Grivkovichi, located on the outskirts of the Pinsk district in the Brest region (Republic of Belarus).
A direct eyewitness - Alexander N. (the name has been changed due to known reasons) made an impression of confidence. Moreover, the particular social position he occupies does not contribute to the spread of similar stories about himself, which can only damage the reputation. For this reason, Alexander kept what happened to him in secret, daring to share it only with some of his friends who would not laugh at him. Thanks to mutual acquaintances, this story fell into our hands.
That evening before the Old New Year (on the "Shchedryk") Alexander returned home from hunting, but this time without prey. I washed, changed, fed the dogs. He did not touch the food, as hunger still tormented him, and while he passed the evening with a family watching KVN on TV. Toward midnight, the appetite nevertheless broke out, and Alexander decided to warm up a frying pan with fresh meat on the stove. It was frosty outside at this time - 8-10 degrees below zero. When Alexander looked outside, he noticed something strange: the yard was absolutely dead, unnatural silence and dense darkness.
After some time, when it was time to remove the frying pan from the stove, the front door creaked and someone entered. Looking into the hallway, the owner of the house was almost stunned: there were two "aliens". Alexander was familiar with the massive publications about UFOs and "contacts with aliens" that swept over the years of publicity, but he did not seriously listen to this and did not even think that he personally would have to go through such a thing. The uninvited aliens moved closer to him. The manner of their movement was also strange: they moved sideways, moving one leg to the other. During the entire time of contact, they did not utter a word.

They looked very strange … Shorter than the eyewitness, height - they barely reached the bridge of his nose (1.5-1.6 m, possibly 1.7 m), which is why he had to look at them as if from top to bottom. They were dressed in bright green (as if luminescent) overalls, leaving only the face open. The heads are deeply set, without a neck, the shoulders seem to start at the level of the ears. I remembered only how the guests looked to the waist, the eyewitness could not remember anything about the second half of the body. The faces could be mistaken for ordinary human faces, if not for a number of details …

They had a conspicuous long wedge-shaped chin, descending almost to the middle of the chest and formed either by an elongated lower jaw, or by a second fat chin. The skin of the face was heavily mottled with abundant fine wrinkles. It seemed that their age is very great - "about six hundred years." The gray eyes seemed surprisingly kind ("kind to infinity, as a father looks at his son"), it seemed that they were not as wide apart on the face as in people, but a little closer to the bridge of the nose.
They met with gazes, and then golden rays began to emanate from the eyes of the aliens, similar to those that are visible when squinting at the lamp. After that, all the anxiety of the eyewitness seemed to evaporate and he immediately escaped:
- Oh … hello! I know who you are! Come in, you will be guests!
After being invited into the house, they went into one of the rooms and sat on chairs around the table. The guests were silent and throughout the entire time they literally did not take their eyes off the owner, just staring at him. A frying pan was placed on the table. And then the eyes of the owner of the house fell on the once opened bottle of vodka standing in the sideboard. According to the laws of hospitality, he decided, without any ulterior motive, to treat them according to all the rules. Three glasses were immediately placed and filled with the appropriate content. I really wanted to talk to them, ask about them:
- Well, let's … The food is getting cold. Let's have a glass, tell me what you want from me, and I will ask you, we will talk.
But Alexander did not manage to drink that day. As soon as he took up the glass with the intention of celebrating such an acquaintance, he immediately "passed out" ("absolutely sober person" - emphasized by an eyewitness).
The regaining consciousness took place under rather strange circumstances. He was sitting on a chair, but the upper part of his body was in a horizontal position - as if he was lying on another stool with his back. But there was no support there. He lay in the air without much effort. With the same ease, without straining the abdominal muscles, the eyewitness rose to a sitting position. There were no guests, their glasses were empty, but his remained full. The pan with untouched fresh meat has already cooled down.
An unusual emptiness and pleasant lightness was felt in my head. But with the thought "where did the guests go?" a signal similar to Morse code sounded in the head on the right side of the crown, and after it something suddenly “slammed” and the skull was again filled with the sensation of ordinary earth pressure.
This event was confirmed by the wife of an eyewitness - Lyudmila N. (name also changed). At that time she was in the next room opposite (in the nursery) and watched TV with her little son. She heard a strange sound and that her husband was not back alone. She wanted to go out to look at the guests, but she could not move. She was seized by numbness and complete immobility, and later she passed out completely, as if she had fallen into oblivion or sleep.
When this strange condition had passed, she entered the next room and saw her husband sitting on a chair. Naturally, there was no one except him. My husband had strange confused, frightened and aloof eyes. Lyudmila told him to go to bed. In the morning in the kitchen she found a frying pan, three clean plates, forks and glasses with the smell of vodka. When asked who he was drinking with, the answer was: "Aliens came to me." They decided not to tell anyone about this, so as not to be branded as crazy. But as the wife of an eyewitness noticed, the whole next day her husband was in a confused and depressed state.
But the story doesn't end there
The story of a failed attempt to have a drink with aliens from outer space, of course, looks ridiculous and comical. This was one of the reasons for keeping silence even in those years when the stories about meetings with the unknown were not such a shameful matter. The absurd nature of the situation during contact is generally characteristic of many described cases of so-called close contacts of the third kind, which has already been repeatedly drawn attention to by some researchers.
Therefore, this circumstance can hardly be considered evidence of the unreliability of the story. Not every respected person will spread fictional stories about himself in the style of anecdotes. In our opinion, in the described case, this should also be taken into account before jumping to conclusions.
We cannot guarantee the accuracy of this whole story, but we can report that during the interview, the eyewitness made the most favorable impression as a sincere and not prone to hoaxes. In any case, the impression was that Alexander himself was sincerely convinced of the reality of everything that happened.
The experiences experienced may be real, but whether everything described actually took place is another question. There are moments in the testimony that may indicate that Alexander was in an altered state of consciousness during contact, which could well have been provoked by an external influence.
Another interesting aspect in such cases is the question, why exactly certain people become participants in such events? Are they different from other people? If so, how? This is worth paying attention to when conducting surveys.
As practice shows, in some cases, eyewitnesses confess that it is not the first time they have to deal with unusual situations in their lives. Alexander N. belongs to the same category. He and his wife happened to be in the role of UFO eyewitnesses in the sky over his village. These cases were also recorded:
Early April 1990, der. Grivkovichi
After checking the livestock, Alexander went out for a walk around the outskirts on one of the quiet April evenings. There was silence. And then he noticed in the northeast direction behind the pumping station, standing 500 meters away, white lights flying low above the horizon (angular height of about 10 degrees or less). Their speed was comparable to that of a helicopter. The lights were round, with sharp edges - not blurry, like car headlights, but well-defined. Their luminosity was similar to ordinary daylight.
The eyewitness began to count: one, second, third … - the hunting habit of counting the observed objects, for example, birds in the sky, affected. In total, there were 11 of them, stretched over a fairly decent distance, subjectively determined by an eyewitness at two kilometers (about 90 angular degrees). The height of their flight above the ground is determined at about 100 meters, the estimated distance from the observer is 0.8-1 km.
And then, during the observation, it suddenly turned out that the lights, most likely, belonged to a single object, which slowly rotated around its axis: the light ahead (window?) In the direction of movement disappeared, and a new one appeared from behind (from right to left). The rotation was so slow that it was not immediately apparent. Initially, the object was seen in the direction of the farm, from where it moved to the left to the north-west, until it disappeared from view behind the trees in the direction of the villages of Borichevichi and Vuyvichi. The total observation time was about 1.5-2 minutes.

It is not known exactly when this happened, around winter during the events described above. In the evening at about 18.00 she left the house for wood for the stove. While near the barn, she noticed in the southwest a bright luminous ball, similar in color to the sun. He slowly approached the village from behind the forest and, reaching the first house on the outskirts, began to move away again.
Then everything repeated again, and he disappeared behind the forest completely. The total observation time took about 10 minutes. Lyudmila was very frightened, because at that time her husband had to return from the hunt - just from the side of the UFO plowing the sky. During the observation, she did not notice any oddities - no extraneous sounds, no psychophysical impact, no signs of disturbance of animals in the village.
Alexander N. had a chance to become a participant in another mysterious incident, but this time by no means ufological. It happened during a winter hunt in one of the forests not far from his village. Returning home with his dog, he walked through the familiar forest, where he had hunted many times and knew these places thoroughly. Snow fell the day before, there was not a single trace around. At one point, he decided to take a shortcut so as not to take a detour along the path.
And then something strange happened … He suddenly found himself in a completely unfamiliar place for him. The hunter found himself among the grasping tall secular trees, which he had never seen here. They were real giants - almost 150 meters high. I turned the other way - the road was blocked by the same fallen tree. It was so massive and long that it was impossible to climb over or bypass it.
The dog was not around, she did not respond to the call. I had to follow my tracks back. I went out to familiar places, found the dog and returned home. He felt as if he had a chance to visit a completely different world. Alexander is sure that there was no such place with giant trees in this thoroughly known forest and does not exist. Subsequent attempts to find him again were unsuccessful.
It is amazing that so many mysterious incidents fell to the lot of one person. Most in their entire life do not manage to meet at least one miracle, even despite a strong desire to touch the mystery. Perhaps this is what sets Alexander apart from others. By some coincidence, three circumstances coincided here: a person, time and place. A man who was lucky for miracles. The time when the wave of UFO reports has ceased to amaze anyone.
And the place … In those years, on the territory of Pinsk and adjacent parts of Ivanovo and Stolin districts, observations of unidentified flying objects were not uncommon.
