A large-scale study involved 959 students of domestic universities, 847 of whom admitted that they believe in God, and the remaining 112 position themselves as atheists.
The survey revealed that 15% of atheists and only 3% of religious students committed suicide attempts in the past, which clearly demonstrates the influence of the Christian religion on the consciousness of people. Suicide is one of the most serious sins in Christianity, and believing in this, obviously, can actually stop most of the thoughts of suicide.
In addition to suicidal moods, faith in God as a whole contributes to a more careful attitude of people towards their health, since according to statistics, atheists are more likely to get sick and become victims of various accidents, for example, breaking limbs, which, according to the theory of scientists, indicates their self-destructive behavior.
