To begin with, I should say that I am an atheist and I consider religion "the opium of the people." Yes, and sometimes opium helps to live in a difficult situation, but this does not stop it being a "substance clouding consciousness." Actually, this is why, for example, such a vile and terrible topic appeared, without religious canons not worth a "damn egg".

No one would argue that killing a child is a first-class ticket to visit Satan and only non-humans can do that. But would you be surprised if you found out that according to a researcher from the University of California, in the 1700s, the murder of an innocent child is nothing more than a key to the gates of heaven.

How is this even possible?

The first mention of such madness was found by the historian, Katie Stewart. The first such assassin to be found in history may have been Ava Litzelfelnerin, a young German or Austrian (no exact figures left) whose marriage of convenience was a real nightmare. She was forced to marry a man whom she first saw only in front of the altar, and whose mother hung all the obligations of the house on Ava, effectively turning her into a slave. Of course, Ava wanted to commit suicide, but she was a Catholic. Suicide is nothing more than murder, and murder is nothing more than a sin that condemns such a person to eternal torment in a hellish cauldron.

Ava's trick was to kill herself and confess her sin, thereby freeing herself from sin and allowing her soul to ascend to heaven. Of course, in theory this is logical, but in practice it does not work, because it is very difficult (or even impossible) for a dead person to go to confession. So the first trick did not work …

Her second option is to poison herself with arsenic, and take enough of it to ensure her death, but not enough to do it instantly. Logically, she wanted to provide herself time to wash away her sin before the Lord, and only then die … But this option is beautiful on paper, but in practice there were times such that arsenic was hard to get, and she did not know the dosage … So this idea had to be given up.

And after that that same crazy idea was born, which worked not only in theory, but also in practice, but it was really terrible.

Ava, and others perhaps before and exactly after her, used a concept called proxy suicide. This concept is based on the idea that someone is killing you for you. Thus, you die without sin in your soul. you didn’t commit murder or suicide. Thus, you provide yourself with a direct path to heaven. But on the other hand, the question arises: "How to find the one who will kill you at your request?"

After this deed, this person will surely be captured, sent to prison or executed. In this dilemma Ava found a loophole to God …

At that time in Europe there was the only person who could kill absolutely legally and everyone knew him. He walked with a big ax and his name was the executioner. Thus, instead of looking for someone, Ave just needed to be sentenced to death. And in order to be executed for sure, you have to commit the most heinous crime that can come to mind …

Deadhack

The church dogma that suicides go straight to hell led, for example, to the fact that in Northern Europe in the 18th century, seriously ill people who decided to cut off their life path, but fearing hellish torment, killed a child or the first person they met. They hoped that they would be tried and sentenced to death for murder. But just before they die, they will sincerely repent for their crime and thus go straight to heaven.

Unfortunately, killing an innocent child fits the bill better than anything else. Her sacrifice will go to heaven anyway, because the child is the purest and most innocent creature that could be imagined. At the same time, the crime is so disgusting and socially unacceptable that it is almost certain that the perpetrator of this act will be sentenced to death. Before the execution, this person will be asked to confess to the priest. So Ava will calmly apologize for the murder, and at the same time, she will deceive the system.

But the only problem is that the Almighty is not a fool, and the priest, of course, will not allow Ava and anyone else to leave for another world just like that. But Ava and the others had a solution to this problem - they would simply apologize for deceiving that person upstairs.

The Germans eventually got the point and by the end of the 1700s, they changed the law and simply struck the death penalty off the list of punishments. But during the time that this loophole worked, 300 people took advantage of it. So they killed 300 children and adults for their own death. 300 innocent people lost their lives.

The wave of murders / suicides was ended by the abolition of the death penalty in Denmark in 1767 - it was replaced by life-long hard and dirty work.

Kay Warren: suicides are not destined to be in hell

Kay Warren, wife of Rick Warren and co-pastor of Saddleback Church (California, USA), said that the Bible does not say that suicides are doomed to hell, according to Christian Megaportal invictory.com citing the Christian Post.

On September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, Kay Warren gave an interview to the Christian Post, in which she expressed words of support and comfort to families and friends of suicide victims.

The Warrens' youngest son, Matthew, shot himself in April 2013 at the age of 27. The family was silent for many years that their youngest son suffered from mental illness. Information about this was made public only after Matthew's death.

Despite the established understanding in Christianity that suicide dooms the victim to hell, Kay Warren believes that Matthew is now at peace in Heaven.

“Matthew entrusted his life to Christ when he was still a very young boy. Therefore, I am 100% sure that Matthew is in Heaven. And my confidence is based on what Christ has done,”she said in an interview with the Christian Post.

Kay Warren noted that the church has long stigmatized suicides. They were not even allowed to be buried in the churchyard so that they remained separated from the church. “And yet, when I look in Scripture, I cannot find any good reason for this,” she said.

She cited the words of Christ, recorded in chapter 10 of the Gospel of John, that no one will steal His sheep from His hand. She believes that these words can be rephrased as follows: "If you believe in Me as your Savior, even you yourself cannot take yourself out of My hand."

Kay Warren said that suicide is a sin because it interrupts God's plan for human life. But this is not an unforgivable sin. And this can serve as some consolation for families who have experienced a similar tragedy.

“Is this sin unforgivable? No, as far as I understand. I think about Romans 8, where Paul said that nothing, not life, not death, not angels, not rulers … nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord,”she added.

Kay Warren emphasized that it doesn't matter if a person committed suicide or died of cancer, or got hit by a car - if he accepted Christ as his Savior, then his salvation is guaranteed. “I am convinced of this and would like to reassure grieving relatives who write to me, being embarrassed or worried about where their loved ones are,” she added.

And to prevent suicide, you need to bring hope to people before they think about suicide, before they reach the point of "I can end this right now."

In general, the topic is complex, but "suspended" for a long time in an incomprehensible state.
