What powerful forces mankind will use for new military technologies.

Scientific research aimed at resolving current problems, which, as it seems, have a very distant relationship to the venerable matter, may already in the near future have a significant impact on the appearance of the weapon systems of the world's leading armies and, accordingly, on the nature and content of armed struggle. I propose to consider those scientific problems, which seem to be the most interesting and capable in the future to greatly influence the development of AME.

Unified field theory

One of the fundamental problems is the development of a unified field theory (UFT), which is likely to receive its resolution only in the long term, and, accordingly, its influence on the development of weapons will be provided only in the distant future.

For military affairs, the solution to this problem has a twofold meaning. On the one hand, with sufficient predictive capabilities of such a theory, in addition to the disclosure and mathematical description of all four known interactions (gravitational, electromagnetic, strong and weak), within its framework, there should appear the ability to identify new types of interactions of matter and experimentally verify their existence. This will give new chances for the creation of qualitatively different weapons systems based on the use of these fields and the effects of their mutual influence. On the other hand, it may help to explain a fairly large class of phenomena that are united today under the name of "paranormal". Most scientists, at least not denying the possibility of the existence of such phenomena, agree that they should be based on new types of fields,not yet discovered by humanity. It is quite probable, considering that it entered the 20th century with two types of fields - gravitational and electromagnetic, and came out with four, when strong and weak interactions were added to these two.

To date, a unified field theory has not yet been developed and activities on its formation are carried out in two main directions, the ideological basis of which was created at the beginning of the twentieth century. The first is based on quantum theory, when all types of fields are described based on the idea that the main mechanism for the appearance of all these fields is the exchange of special virtual particles (for example, for an electromagnetic field, these are photons). The second approach is based on geometric concepts arising from the concept of the formation of a gravitational field as a manifestation of the curvature of space in Einstein's general theory of relativity. Superstring theory can be considered an example of a geometric approach. Today, there is not enough experimental data to create a full-fledged field theory. Therefore, modern physics is looking for signs of other effects,which would give impetus to the development of theoretical concepts of the microworld, increasing the power of experimental facilities (in particular, the Large Hadron Collider-Accelerator). Despite the extreme complexity of the task of building the UTP, it can be expected that it will be created in the next two to three decades. Achievements of modern mathematics and cybernetics are the key to success.

The creation of such a theory would bring about a revolution in military science, similar to the one that occurred as a result of the creation of quantum theory. As a result, it led to the creation of atomic and thermonuclear weapons, nuclear energy, as well as the entire spectrum of advances in science and technology, which form the basis of today's progress - from microelectronics to microbiology. As a result, on the basis of the use of other, now unknown types of energy, such types of weapons may appear, in comparison with which the nuclear one will seem just a child's cracker. This will transfer humanity to a different era, as once nuclear power and quantum electronics transferred humanity from the industrial to the post-industrial era. However, this is a matter of distant future.

Geophysics and Climate Management

The most interesting and important applied methodological problem, which is significant for the further development of AME, is the development of methods to control the development of geophysical or climatic processes in given regions of the planet. Today, quite intensive research is going on in this direction, primarily in the United States.

The urgency of this problem for military affairs is due to the fact that today there are already means that make it possible to exert a sufficiently powerful effect on the geophysics and the climate of the planet practically on a global scale. This is, first of all, the well-known HAARP - a complex of powerful directional microwave energy emitters. A missile warhead or an aircraft, hitting a zone of high strengths of the electromagnetic field (auroras, for example), will be disabled. That is, HAARP was originally created as a missile defense complex. In this case, "ion clouds" appear in the ionosphere - regions in which, due to the concentration of microwave energy in them from several powerful emitters, areas with plasma appear. During the tests, it turned out that the emitter is capable of exerting a certain influence on the geophysics of the Earth and on the weather over large regions of the planet - this is due to the fact thatthat the state of the ionosphere and troposphere are highly dependent on each other. As a result, fluctuations in the ionosphere caused by the impact of HAARP inevitably lead to disruption of weather formation processes. But not only them, there is an opportunity to influence the bowels of the planet.

The physics of the impact of HAARP on geophysical processes is based on the fact that the Earth, in terms of electromagnetism, is a giant spherical capacitor, in which the outer conducting shell is represented by the ionosphere, and the inner conducting core is represented by the earth's crust and magma, between which the dielectric is located - the lower layers with weak electrical conductivity atmosphere. As a result, sufficiently intense oscillations of the ionosphere can lead to a response in the deep layers of the Earth in the form of oscillations of processes in magma. The consequence of this is “energy discharges” in zones of geological tensions at the joints of geological plates, which manifests itself in the form of earthquakes.

The absence of any effective methods for calculating such consequences makes today the use of HAARP practically unpredictable in terms of influence, which can be catastrophic for the owners of this complex themselves. With the advent of methods of sufficiently accurate prediction of possible consequences, HAARP will turn into an extremely powerful geophysical and climatic weapon.

Work on this topic is carried out in two main directions. Firstly, this is the creation of modeling complexes based on supercomputers, which should make it possible to simulate weather formation over significant territories of the Earth, as well as geophysical processes with the definition of areas where earthquakes are possible. Secondly, it is the collection of statistical information on these phenomena and its systematization - in volumes sufficient to predict such phenomena on this basis.

So in the future, it is possible the appearance of weapons capable of unleashing real weather cataclysms on the enemy and even hitting him with earthquakes.

Life modification

The first of the applied ontological problems should be the problem of creating living beings with given properties using genetic engineering methods. Developments that are significant for military affairs in this area are aimed at creating pathogenic bacteria and viruses with a highly differentiated pathogenic ability based on race - so that pathogens are dangerous only for the human body with some features of its genetics and physiology, determined by its race. Such developments are currently underway in the United States. As far as is known, it has not yet been possible to achieve the required level of "racial selectivity", but there are already certain successes - previously unknown pathogens have appeared, which are more dangerous for people of some races, and less dangerous for others. As an illustration, let us give SARS and bird flu. The most recent example is the planet-wide coronavirus. The pandemic caused huge economic losses and in fact significantly changed the balance of power at the geopolitical level. Although there is no direct evidence that this virus is of artificial origin, indirect signs indicate that it was biological weapons that were used.

Beam weapon

The creation of small-sized generators of ultra-powerful microwave radiation (as well as optical and X-ray) is the main condition for the creation of a whole family of highly effective beam weapons for various purposes. Work in this direction today has become one of the main directions in the US missile defense program. Small-sized generators of super-powerful microwave radiation can become the basis for a whole class of qualitatively new weapons aimed at destroying the electronics of military facilities. The impact of such radiation on various aircraft will be able to destroy them as a result of the failure of onboard electronic systems.

Powerful generators of coherent optical and X-ray radiation made it possible to create laser weapons. Its first samples have already been adopted by the US Navy and the Russian Armed Forces ("Peresvet"). In the future, they can become the main weapon of space combat systems of the future. Moreover, in the long term, they are quite capable of hitting not only space objects, but also ground ones. True, provided that the problem of conducting high-energy beams of electromagnetic energy of the optical and X-ray ranges through the atmosphere is successfully solved. While she scatters them.

Quantum computers

The solution to the problem of using the effect of teleportation of the state of quantum particles in advanced electronic systems will be of great importance for military affairs. The creation of such systems will revolutionize military cybernetics - the rate of information processing in the automated control system will increase by orders of magnitude, increasing the speed of military operations by reducing the control cycle. Due to the use of more complex models that take into account a larger number of factors, the quality of decision-making will increase dramatically. The capabilities of robotization of the armed forces will significantly expand and, most importantly, there will be a qualitative leap in the level of intelligence, accuracy, reliability, reliability and efficiency of weapons and hardware control systems. Even the most complex ciphers can be easily broken.

Nanoweapon

An important role in the progress of weapons systems will be played by the development of technologies for technical devices on a nanoscale with the required functionality and the ability to self-replicate. In this area, the main difficulties arise from the fact that quantum effects have a decisive influence on the formation and behavior of nanoobjects, making these processes probabilistic. In fact, we are talking about the creation of extremely complex macromolecules, focused on the performance of specific functions in specific conditions. Combined into conglomerates, many of these molecules can act as a medium for storing and processing information. Being in the environment of other molecular and atomic systems, they play the role of modifiers of their structure or destroyers of it.

Thus, on the one hand, it becomes possible to create qualitatively new materials for military purposes, and on the other, fundamentally innovative weapon systems based on suspensions of such nanorobots capable of destroying military objects, weapons, military equipment and enemy personnel in a short time. On this basis, the emergence of suspension-like systems for processing and storing information is likely, which will have extremely high resistance to various damaging influences due to the very principle of distributed storage and processing of information.

Thus, the solution of a number of problems in fundamental and applied science will lead, in the next 20 years, to the emergence of qualitatively new types of weapons capable of having a significant impact on the nature of armed struggle.

However, it should be noted that the potential of the latest scientific developments can not be immediately realized in military affairs. The path from a scientific breakthrough to a model of weapons based on it is rather complicated and sometimes long. Those countries that were able to overtake their competitors in this direction receive an indisputable advantage. There are many examples of this. Thus, the United States was the first to be able to create nuclear weapons, gaining for some time a huge military-technical advantage over the whole world. The RF, having created hypersonic missiles and saturating the Navy with these weapons, is able to radically change the balance of forces in the oceanic and naval theaters.

Thus, the main thing today is to overtake competitors in the application of the latest scientific achievements in specific models of technology and weapons. The main problem is the creation of a "bridge" between fundamental science and specific military-technical developments. “High” science, having made a breakthrough, has very limited opportunities to bring the results obtained to practically significant samples, and sometimes even to interest the relevant authorities in these achievements. In turn, the defense industry enterprises, engaged in the development of specific models of equipment for specific tasks and methods of combat operations, do not have the opportunity, and often the desire, to find ways to introduce the latest achievements of fundamental and applied theoretical science. At the same time, military theory should be based on available samples of weapons and military equipment,developing methods and forms of solving problems of ensuring the country's military security. Fantasy is absolutely unacceptable here.

Thus, for the accelerated introduction of the latest scientific achievements into the practice of ensuring national security, a "bridge" is needed. The issue of its creation is rather complicated. Note that in order to implement the link between "high" science and military practice in the United States, a special organization in the structure of the Ministry of Defense - DARPA was created.
