Creation of man. From school we know the theory of evolution, the origin of life, the origin of man as an integral part of life on our planet. We also know what representatives of the main world religions think about this. But what do the ancient myths say about this?
Let's look at the creative stories of the four gods: Kukulkan, Pachacamak, Amon-Ra and Enki. Four stories that have come to us from time immemorial tell us about those acts of divine creation of mankind, which today we can safely call experiments, possibly with the use of genetic engineering.
Sumerians
The myth of the creation of man can be found in the Sumerian cuneiforms. It describes the Anunnaki - extraterrestrial gods who flew to us on Earth from another world.
There was a fairly strict hierarchy in their society. At the head of all was the monarch Anu. It was with his submission that the first researchers flew to Earth. Having found out that our planet is rich in minerals, the Anunnaki founded a colony there for the extraction of minerals, gold was especially valued among them. Ordinary Anunnaki worked in the mines, their work was watched by the higher ones. For millennia, miners worked hard, and their discontent gradually grew. More and more often they began to grumble about the difficult working conditions.
Once a representative of the ruling council of the 12 Enki flew to Earth with an inspection, and at that moment the patience of the workers ran out. Miners revolt. Enki wanted to punish the rioters, but could not do so without orders from Anu. Returning to his home planet, he reported the situation to the supreme ruler.

The Supreme Council was urgently convened. Anu admitted that the miners' indignation was quite fair and therefore an extraordinary decision was made. Life on Earth and the home planet of the Anunnaki had a common foundation. It was decided to create more perfect creations on the basis of terrestrial animals.
We can assume that genetic engineering took place, and Anunnaki DNA was added to the genome of terrestrial organisms. Under the leadership of Enki, a group of people was formed to work in the mines. Years later, the Anunnaki endowed people with the ability to reproduce and even brought out a new person, perfect Adapa, and passed on to him some of their knowledge.
The Sumerian God Enki:
This story is strikingly similar to what we know: the rise of the Neanderthals (the first humans created by the Anunnaki) and the Adapu (Cro-Magnons). After all, both those and others lived side by side for some time, and the Neanderthal, as we now know, is not the direct ancestor of modern man.
The Creation of Man in the View of the Ancient Egyptians
To begin with, it must be said that the opinions of the ancient Egyptians about the creation of man differed. Some believed that God Amon-Ra created man, others that God Pta.
In the beginning there was only primordial chaos, from which Amon-Ra, the first god in the Universe, emerged. He pondered for a long time, looking at the primordial ocean of chaos, trying to make out at least some solidity, but he could not find anything. Then Amon-Ra himself creates the first firmament - the Primordial Hill. Having found solidity under his feet, Ra gave birth to Shu (air, dryness) and Tefnut (moisture).
But the world was still dark, there was no light in it, and the first children of Ra were lost in the darkness. God sends his Eye in search of them, and while it wanders in the dark, he creates another Eye for himself. Meanwhile, the first Eye found Shu and Tefnut and returned them to Ra, who wept in joy. His tears fell on the Primordial Hill and turned into people.
Amon-Ra:
It was since then that the Eye, the symbol of which was the sacred cobra (urey), adorned the heads of the gods first, and then of the pharaohs ruling people.
The second theory is different only in that the original chaos itself was alive, it was God Pta, he recreated himself in the flesh and gave birth to Amon-Ra.
From the point of view of modern man, the mythology of the Egyptians is quite interesting, in it we can also trace the cosmic motives of the creation of man: a certain universal principle in the image of the god Amon-Ra creates first the firmament (our Earth) and then man.
Mayan
The Mayan code of Popol-Vuh speaks of the ancient god Kukulcan, also known as Quetzalcoatl. In his first attempt, he sculpted a man out of clay, but the experiment failed. The clay man was clumsy, unstable, and quickly wet from the rain.
The second attempt with wood and reed also failed due to the lack of soul and mind in the resulting creature. People did not remember or honor their Creator and Mentor. Kukulkan in anger destroys people, sending down a flood on them (what is not the legend of the biblical flood?). The frustrated god was about to fly to his own sun when the animals brought him cobs of corn. Kukulkan decided to experiment and he created third people from this plant. The people turned out great, they were both beautiful and smart, but God was again dissatisfied. The man turned out to be too smart, almost like a god.

Then Kukulkan sent down a veil over the eyes of people so that they could see only what was around them. So people lost their former knowledge and wisdom.
In Mayan mythology, man is created by trial and error. Can't everything turn out perfectly at once?
From the point of view of modern science, this can be explained either by really some kind of intervention of external extraterrestrial forces in human evolution, or by periodic changes in the living conditions of mankind, which led to the decline of some and the emergence of new types of people.
The Incas
The god Pachacamac created the first people from the stone firmament of high mountains. But people turned out unsuccessfully - they knew nothing about the world and how to live in it.
Then Pachacamac sends his Inca children Manco Capaca and his wife Mama Oklu to Earth.
They taught people how to till the land, build houses, cook food and sew clothes. Pachacamac instructed his children:
“Teach people to be kind and fair. I will provide them with daily light and warmth, but make sure that they never forget their creators."

Manco Capac and his wife laid the foundation for the Inca dynasty.
How similar is the history of the Incas in this respect to the ancient Egyptians. In both cultures, representatives of extraterrestrial intelligent races (gods) become the first rulers: Amon-Ra in Egypt and Manco Kapak among the Incas.
We've looked at the creation of man in four different ways. Different cultures, eras and continents, but similar motives can be seen everywhere.
