And if only because these 7 billion bodies will not be impossible to bury, but simply, excuse the cynicism, to dispose of. Besides, crumbling deserted cities and industries won't add much joy either. And the mountains of garbage already accumulated? Who will rake them? Robots and artificial intelligence? But at whatever stage of development of civilization the question of regulating the population size arises, there will be a slowdown in the development of such a society. You will say that AI will self-improve even without a person, but if this process is allowed to take its course, then by this very AI humanity will no longer be needed, with the quite expected result.
