In the mid-1980s, doctors selected a homogeneous group of single people who had suffered a heart attack and offered them to take a puppy to their home. Half of the patients gladly took their new four-legged friend; the other half refused.

Long-term medical observations revealed an interesting fact: people (who took puppies for themselves) had several times fewer repeated heart attacks than those who refused it.

And, although numerous similar experiments in our country and abroad [9] did not show such sensational results, but the method of treating people with the help of domestic or tamed animals has found the widest distribution.

In the literature, there are the names "Pet-therapy" (literally "favorite animal" - a method of treating patients with the help of dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, dolphins, birds, etc.), which is often used in Western countries. And also "Animal therapy" (sometimes "Zootherapy") - used in our country.

Animal-assisted therapy has been familiar to physicians for several millennia. The ancient Egyptians used cats for health purposes. The ability of dogs to help people cope with various ailments was known to the Ancient Greeks from about the 1st millennium before. AD Hippocrates (5th century BC) suggested therapeutic horseback riding as a recommendation. In India, in the same centuries, they learned to use listening to bird singing as a medicine. There are drawings of the Saints of early Christianity in the company of dogs, who once healed them.

The founder of "Animal therapy" and "Pet-therapy" (already in our time) was the American psychiatrist Boris Levinson, who in 1962 used a dog for therapeutic purposes. Now this therapeutic direction is recognized in many countries; research laboratories and institutes have been opened, where scientists and doctors study the influence of animals on people [9].

Doctors use classes with their beloved animals most often to distract a person from serious problems, to increase self-esteem and a sense of self-importance, to develop a sense of responsibility in the patient.

Scientists note the following therapeutic functions of animal-assisted therapy: - there is regular communication, there is a harmonization of interpersonal relationships (with the animal); - stress is relieved, the work of the nervous system and the psyche as a whole is normalized; - mental and social rehabilitation is underway; a person satisfies his need for competence (to properly maintain an animal), and the need to be significant to others [2].

Promotional video:

Animal-assisted therapy can be recommended to all patients, without exception, but especially those with the following indications:

- diagnoses of cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome;

- mental disorders, neuroses;

- violation of the organs of speech, hearing and vision;

- underdevelopment of motor, mental, mental functions;

- congenital or acquired defects of the heart and blood vessels;

- birth and other injuries.

Dolphin therapy and hippotherapy are recommended for children with musculoskeletal disorders [9].

Swimming with a dolphin ("dolphin therapy")

The method of "dolphin therapy", according to some experts, is the most effective in treating people, as well as the most expensive (which only oligarchs can afford to use regularly). I got to know these animals closely when I made cruises with students on a cruising yacht along the Azov and Black Seas. And through binoculars I noticed their flocks splashing far into the sea. Then they noticed our yacht and walked for 30-40 minutes to get acquainted with the new vessel and accompany it for a couple of hours. Jumping out of the water and snorting loudly (exhaling and inhaling air).

Image

They reminded me of a flock of kind, inquisitive dogs, which friendly towards each person and sniff.

Until the 1970s, they were hunted and even destroyed. But after the scientific research of the American psychologist John Lily, who, while studying dolphins, faced the facts that dolphins, in turn, studied him … As well as his sensational reports on this at major international conferences, dolphins were recognized as intelligent creatures and were forbidden to kill everywhere the world [8].

In the mid-1990s, at the Science Congress, I was fortunate enough to hear a report from a group of Sevastopol biologists who (by conversion) monitored the health and facilitated public appearances of the former "fighting" Black Sea dolphins.

Scientists noticed that when employees' children jumped to swim in the pool with dolphins between performances, dolphins, as always, rushed to new partners (as if to sniff). But then they chose the sickest child from the group and played only with him.

At the next break, another group of children came, and again "sniffing" and playing only with the sickest child.

And after several sessions, there were significant improvements in sick children (with serious illnesses).

Dolphin therapy is widely used in clinics in foreign countries, as well as in Russia. The main effect of therapy (according to researchers) is achieved by ultrasound. By "rocking" the cells, ultrasound allows useful substances to more actively penetrate the intercellular membranes, promoting the circulation of blood and lymph in the stagnant areas of the body. The sound vibrations generated by dolphins can relieve pain (i.e. act as an analgesic) without harmful side effects.

In 2005, the International Institute of The Dolphin Therapy was established. The first official program of dolphin therapy was developed and a patent was obtained for "Method of treatment with ultrasound therapy using controlled radiation of dolphin sonar". Which leads to significant changes in the bioelectric activity of the patient's brain.

The main indications for the course:

- infantile cerebral palsy (cerebral palsy);

- early childhood autism (RDA);

- Down syndrome and other genetic pathology;

- minimal brain dysfunction (MMD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD);

- functional disorders of the central nervous system (CNS);

- mental retardation (except for a deep degree); disorders of speech and hearing;

- sensorineural hearing loss (NST);

- neuroses, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD);

- depressive disorders of a non-endogenous nature (subdepressive level);

- memory disorders, learning disabilities.

Contraindications:

- epilepsy;

- acute infectious diseases;

- cancer patients;

- standard contraindications for rehabilitation treatment in a sanatorium-resort institution.

Dolphin therapy and swimming with dolphins are recommended for health improvement and medical and psychological rehabilitation of people who have suffered severe psychological trauma (caught in extreme conditions of military events, survived earthquakes, hurricanes, accidents and any other severe stress).

Communication with dolphins helps to stabilize a person's psycho-emotional state, relieve psychological stress and chronic fatigue syndrome. A person calms down, begins to think outside the box, quickly finds a way out of a crisis situation [9].

"Hippotherapy" - horse riding and communication with horses

The method of rehabilitation using communication with horses and horse riding is "hippotherapy" (from ancient Greek ἵππος "horse"). This is already active physiotherapy exercises. First of all, it is recommended for children with cerebral palsy, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, loss of sense organs, myopathy, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, mental retardation.

Image

Hippotherapy is also used for disorders of the musculoskeletal system, amputation, arthritis, scoliosis, atherosclerosis, poliomyelitis, gastrointestinal diseases, and prostatitis. And just like "dolphin therapy", this method of rehabilitation requires certain financial costs.

My students and I had to participate in several series of studies to determine the effectiveness of horse riding on human health at the Sochi firm "Centaur".

The first thing I noticed is that communication with a horse gives a stable positive emotional background, which in itself is healing. For city dwellers, communication with a large and kind animal, feeding it, when the horse gently takes bread from your palm with tender lips - this is remembered for a long time.

Second: one of my students had knowledge of bioenergetics and brilliantly diagnosed people with a framework. Measurement of low-temperature plasma clouds (auras) from surrounding horses has shown that they are natural healers. Biofields were dozens of times higher than human ones, and also, mainly, contained a green (medicinal) spectrum. And even a simple stay near a healthy horse already had a great healing effect.

Horses are naturally very kind animals. And during the 1905 revolution, when the Cossacks dispersed the protesting workers, there was always an order: - Sit on the paving stones. The horses will not trample those who are sitting. And indeed: the Cossacks whipped horses with whips, and they did not dare to crush the sitting people. They are so kind.

Third: horseback riding requires some physical effort. Almost all human muscles work, and this happens at a reflex level. The maximum possible concentration and concentration of attention is required from a person. No wonder the medieval aristocracy (and even modern wealthy people) used horseback riding as a means of maintaining their physical shape and health.

Fourth: when riding a horse, there is a powerful massage of the spinal column (compression and extension of the intervertebral discs). Which has a positive effect on all organs of the human body.

In the fourth experiment on horses, we used the measurement of the conductivity of biologically active points of the human body (according to Nakatani). Before horseback riding, I personally observed some imbalance in the meridians. Even more - in one of the subjects (just a painful condition).

After 45 minutes of horseback riding, the conduction along all meridians of both me and this painful girl leveled off. I was curious and asked about her health. And the answer fully confirmed the results of hardware measurements: - “I am very painful. And training with horses makes me healthy. If I don’t do hippotherapy, I’ll just get sick quickly and go to the hospital”.

Do not forget about the powerful healing spectrum of the horse's aura, which interacts with the human body. At least three or four days after skiing, I felt in my body some kind of foreign energy (rough and healthy). By the way, German scientists have created a simulator that accurately repeats the oscillatory movements of a horse, however, the same effect as with hippotherapy did not work.

In Norway, since 1953, a special therapeutic riding center for disabled children has been opened. Hippotherapy is intensively developing in Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, Georgia, Great Britain, Poland, Russia. This treatment method has been recognized by the German Physiotherapy Association. In France, the faculty of hippotherapy was opened at the Paris University of Sports and Health. In Russia, the use of hippotherapy began in 1991 and is used in various centers throughout the country [4].

Treating the sick with a dog

Treatment of patients with the help of a dog - “canistherapy (from the Latin canis - dog). There is an animal in the world that earns its own food with love. This is a dog. And when you enter the house, she rejoices with all her being at your arrival.

Image
Image

She loves you endlessly. Loves not because you feed her (then she would be happy only when feeding). Loves just like that … because you just are, that you are her friend, her owner … And in your heart there is a reciprocal love, reciprocal joy. And a lot of elderly people survived after a heart attack only because they brought in dogs, which caused positive emotions in a sick heart [11].

Up to 95% of the animals used in American psychotherapy are dogs. They are mainly used in the rehabilitation of patients in disabled homes, nursing homes, in hospitals, rehabilitation centers for children and adults. When in contact with a dog during a game, or during special procedures, patients experience a decrease in stress, blood pressure normalize, psychological indicators change positively, anxiety decreases, adaptability increases, depression is relieved, and coordination of movements improves in patients with cerebral palsy.

A dog is a social animal, thereby orienting itself towards the people around it, sincere in love and loyal. Satisfies the lack of a person in communication, increases the self-esteem of the owner, improves his sociability, resolves conflicts in the family. Based on these qualities, specialists are developing various programs to improve the condition of children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy (CP), and oligophrenia. The principle of medical cynology with sick children is based on the fact that classes are held in a playful way and the effect is achieved unobtrusively [9, 10].

Getting a dog is an excellent remedy against the sedentary lifestyle (hypodynamia) of a modern city dweller. Every morning and every evening (in any weather), this four-legged member of your family requires a walk in the air and to satisfy its natural needs. That reduces the likelihood of cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction and other diseases of the heart and blood vessels for its owner.

A student's measurement of low-temperature plasma clouds (auras) of various breeds of dogs showed that some of them are also natural healers. Although not to the same extent as horses. But their energy contains a green (healing) spectrum.

Our official medicine does not yet recognize bioenergy treatment. When a strong bioplasmic membrane helps to protect against viruses and bacteria. But this remained from the communist ideology. After all, if you officially recognize the existence of biofields, then you will have to immediately recognize the presence of the glow of halos around the heads of the saints on the icons. And there, and not long before the recognition of God …

One of the first who recorded the aura with the help of equipment was a Soviet technician (he did not even have a higher education) Semyon Davidovich Kirlian, [6]. I visited him in Krasnodar in a small Khrushchev apartment. Where he lived with his wife.

He showed us old films obtained by applying high-frequency oscillations to the human body by a generator. And he demonstrated a very interesting phenomenon - the combination of biofields (auras) of people who love each other. When both, separate low-temperature plasma membranes of a man and a woman are combined into a single "energy organism". That enhances the protective capabilities of such a community against viruses and bacteria.

A family is a union of two people, as an economic unit, as well as for intellectual and emotional (positive) communication, for sexual contact and the creation of a new person, and, it turns out (after Kirlian's research), for uniting into a single, harmonious "energy organism", which enhances protection against viruses and bacteria.

Indeed, each of them has found his "soul mate".

A striking example of the exchange of energies between people, according to Kirlian, is the interaction of a small (up to 3 years old) child with his mother. Which has not yet formed its own "energy generator". And that is why, running down the street, every 30–40 minutes he always resorts to “snuggle” for 3-5 minutes to his mother. And charge your "energy battery". Then you can run again.

Now the Kirlian effect, at the modern level, is applied by Konstantin Georgievich Korotkov [7], who created a computer complex for express analysis of the health of individual organs and systems of a person. I was trained by him in the operation of such a complex. And also for several years, with the help of Korotkov's equipment, he studied the state of health of the athletes of the national team.

Since I have both documented (on Kirlian films) and from my own feelings (after riding horses) made sure of the beneficial interactions of the auras of humans and animals, I advise you to take this into account and use it for yourself.

The therapeutic effect of cats - "felinotherapy"

The therapeutic effect of cats is "felinotherapy" (from the Latin Felis - cat). Cats, apparently, are the most common four-legged owners of our apartments in our country. And their content is available even to pensioners.

Little kittens, clumsy, defenseless, funny… cause the greatest amount of positive emotions. For a long time, my favorite on social networks was a video with a scene of a half-asleep awkward "cute" kitten getting ready for bed. Its warmth, soothing rumbling, playful demeanor allow the owner to relax after a hard day's work and relieve stress.

Image
Image

As the cat grows up, it develops a certain character, and not always simple. But there are also properties to heal their owners.

According to bioenergy specialists, a cat is a real energy-informational device. And if the cat often lies on the head of its owner, he most likely has hypertension or a tendency to headaches. If the pet lies down on the left shoulder blade or shoulder, this indicates heart problems. The cat lays down on the lower back if it “feels” problems with the kidneys, on its legs - if the owner suffers from low blood pressure or often catches a cold [3, 5].

But these facts have an explanation from the point of view of official medicine. According to physiotherapist Evgenia Khalelova: “A cat is more sensitive to an increase in human body temperature, and at some subconscious level determines the place of inflammation, because the main signs of inflammation are local increases in body temperature, including the skin. And the cat is located in this area of the human body and, accordingly, tries to warm up, somehow heats up the tissues, due to this, there may be some increase in the local blood supply, a slight reflex effect.

During purring, a slight vibration occurs, and due to this, perhaps, at a certain reflex level, a decrease in pain symptoms occurs at the site of inflammation”[12].

According to research, cats help in the treatment of neuroses, depression, cardiovascular diseases, pathologies of the respiratory and digestive systems, dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, diseases of the endocrine and reproductive system. In addition, the cat's rumbling is wonderful sound therapy. As it turned out, rumbling accelerates the restoration of bone tissue in fractures, eliminates pain in arthritis, osteochondrosis and other diseases of the joints, has a wound healing effect.

Long-term friendship with a cat strengthens the immune system and promotes health and longevity.

As UK and US physicians (who worked in specialized clinics for mentally retarded children) have found out, cats provide serious help to people suffering from mental illness, heart disorders, brain damage, and even contribute to the complete healing of alcohol and drug addicts. People with mental disabilities perceive the presence of a cat without the slightest irritation. Communication with cats is indicated for depression, neurosis, mania, and schizophrenia.

If you want your pet to treat you, you need to establish a relationship of trust with him. In no case should you be rude to a cat. Proponents of felin therapy believe that with castration or sterilization, "medical" abilities are reduced. Some experts believe that these animals have a sexual "specialization": cats are better at treating nervous diseases and diseases of internal organs, and cats - radiculitis, arthritis, arthrosis.

Scientists at the Berlin Institute of Gerontology studied the effect of cats on the lifespan of their owners and concluded that people who have kept a cat in their home all their lives live on average 10.3 years longer than those who did not have a cat. Felines have better blood pressure and lower blood cholesterol. According to gerontologists, cats are a real elixir of youth for their owners [1–3, 5].

Observing aquarium fish

Observation of aquarium fish has long been used in children's clinics. And kids are happy to watch the colorful fish, calming down, and forgetting about the upcoming (not entirely pleasant) meeting with the attending physician.

Bioenergy specialists will immediately say that being near large bodies of water (near the aquarium) removes energy, and the person becomes more relaxed and a little sleepy. We all know this from our own experience, when sailing on the sea on boats, or swimming in the sea pool (salt water removes a person's energy more strongly), leads to the desire to rest and sleep.

Regular observation of aquarium fish in adults saves from depression, nervous breakdowns or severe psychological turmoil. And here this action is akin to meditation. When a person discards all thoughts and calmly looks at a kaleidoscope of swimming beautiful fish for a long time.

By the way, this is the easiest way for “overly active” people to become calmer and more peaceful [1].

Bird watching and listening to the bird choir (ornithotherapy)

Watching birds and listening to the bird choir ("ornithotherapy") has a beneficial effect on the nervous system: it soothes, comforts, evens breathing and heart rate. Anyone knows how easily and calmly it becomes in the forest, where dozens of birds singing overhead, and the distant cry of a cuckoo is heard from the depths.

Bird therapy specialists specially select the sounds of different birds depending on the patient's ailment:

- Nightingale trills: helps with depression, headaches, weakness and chronic fatigue;

- singing thrush brings relief to those suffering from heart disease, tachycardia, chronic hypertension;

- singing robins (robins): helps with insomnia, heart disease, joint pain, as well as premenstrual syndrome;

- singing lark: will help in the treatment of bronchitis, tracheitis; help normalize blood pressure;

- warble warblers: raise the general tone and improve mood [1].

Keeping small pets

Keeping small pets - first of all, with fluffy and soft decorative rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, etc. sets a person up for an open and friendly mood. It turns out that they are able to help insecure people to overcome isolation and defeat complexes. Tactile contact with small fluffy and soft animals relaxes small muscles, which in turn reduces anxiety, emotional stress and aggression [1].

conclusions

"Animal therapy" - treatment using domestic or tamed wild animals opens up wide opportunities for the improvement of people both with a high financial situation (for the oligarchs) and for low-income pensioners. Choosing an animal that is convenient for keeping.

Experts identify three main therapeutic factors:

- positive emotions that a person has when interacting or observing their pets;

- an increase in physical activity of people when exercising with an animal, and, especially, in the open air;

- bioenergetic interaction with a healthy animal organism.

An important moment in the life of a person who has taken an animal for himself is the educational function - the emergence of a sense of responsibility for him ("we are always responsible for the one whom we have tamed").
