If the film starts with a pop-up screen saver “Supported by the Ministry of Culture”, then this causes a certain level of confidence in the viewer. After the logo of the department, which is largely responsible for the spiritual sphere of society's life, you expect that the content will be at least tactful and instructive. Let it not be ideal in terms of the quality of performance, but at least kind and creative in its message to the viewer.

But after half an hour of watching the Russian film "Above the Sky", one realizes that something in our state system is not working properly. It is difficult to draw a different conclusion when scenes appear in front of your eyes, one after another, in which 18-year-old girls discuss in all details their rich intimate experience, flirt with the fathers of their girlfriends, lie down under the first comer. At the same time, the video sequence frankly demonstrates naked bodies, focuses on the curves of the waist, reflects dissolute behavior as a kind of routine inherent in modern youth. The question involuntarily pops up in my head: maybe our state decided to fight for dominance in the porn industry, and thus informally prepares the younger generations to quickly join the process?

The second half of the film brings even more clarity. The matter is not limited to primitive, but unfortunately very effective screen vulgarity. The tasks are broader: to destroy trust between children and adults, to tear the former from the latter and direct them along a crooked path. This is done in a highly professional manner, literally every little detail in the artistic fabric of the film plays its role and helps to transmit the desired message to the viewer.

According to the plot, the mentioned group of young girls arrived at a boarding house near Moscow together with their parents. There are not many images of adults in the film, but they are very revealing. At first glance, the family of the main character, a girl named Vasya, has a sweet and warm relationship. The fact that Vasya has a congenital disease - heart defect, adds touchingness, which is why everyone takes special care of her, protecting her from all kinds of stress and stress. The mother regularly measures blood pressure, the father surrounds with attention, and so on.

Promotional video:

But along the way, it turns out that the main character's dad is flirting with her friend and draws nude sketches of the girl he likes in his notebook. And her mother, in order to keep her husband in the family, 15 years ago came up with the whole story with Vasya's disease, fabricating medical indicators, and all these years she simply used the “suffering daughter” as a family bond. Naturally, when the truth comes out towards the end of the film, everyone is imbued with sincere and fierce hatred for each other, against the background of which the licentious behavior of the daughter and her friends looks like an innocent prank that cannot be compared with the cruel morals of finally degraded adults. And all of their notations are beginning to be perceived as lies and hypocrisy.

The second central image of the parents in the film is associated with the family of a young man named Misha, who has a romantic relationship with Vasya. A completely modest and calm guy by the end of the film is revealed as a real "rebel", capable of spitting on the opinion of adults and behaving insolently, unprincipled and defiant. In one of the episodes, he simply strips naked in front of Vasya's parents, after which, in this form, he takes her to the nearest swamp (Vasya is delighted with this behavior of his boyfriend) in order to sleep with her there. The culminating scene of the development of the love line of the main characters represents their first sex in some kind of puddle, where their bodies are smeared with mud. The viewer is kind of informed: for Russian people to do this in a swamp is just right!

To be honest, it is rather unpleasant to even describe such scenes in words, but we are talking about a film shot with money from the Ministry of Culture and broadcasted in cinemas in Russia. Moreover, the picture was awarded the "Best Actress" award at Kinotavr. That is, this is not a marginal movie, but the most official one, having passed all existing filters, both at the stage of script approval and fundraising, and at the stage of reaching a wide audience and nominating for awards. From this picture, one can well understand how the system of film production, film awards and film distribution in Russia is built in general - and for what purposes it works, whose interests it serves.

But back to the plot of the film with such a pure and deceptive title "Above the Sky"

At the very beginning of the plot, a man's corpse is found on the shore of the lake, and the theme of the investigation of this incident runs through the whole film. As a result, the story of the drowned man is also closed on the topic of the relationship between parents and children, presenting it all in the same destructive perspective. The deceased turns out to be Misha's father. He constantly went into binge and beat his son, as a result of which his whole body is covered with scars. In the end, in one of the regular episodes of "family showdown" the guy hit his father, and the next day he was found dead. Mikhail considers himself a murderer and in the end even comes to the police to confess. The tragedy of the situation is added by the fact that they have love with Vasya in full swing (remember the episode in the swamp), and now their relationship may come to an end.

But in the finale it turns out that the father died not from a stroke, but from a heart attack after another night of binge, and the policeman's uncle lets Misha go on all four sides. To his question "what should I do now?" - the final phrase sounds, looping the whole logic of the film: "Live while you are young!"

Now we will voice brief conclusions:

  1. what will a teenager or a young guy get out of the cinema after watching a movie? With the thought that parents, and adults in general, should not be listened to, because most of them are real monsters, one should enjoy life and indulge in "all bad". The motto "Live while you are young!" in the logic of the film is equivalent to the slogan "Take everything from life!" Because this is how young people behaved, and their behavior is ultimately justified.
  2. And with what will an adult come out of the cinema, who is able not only to immerse himself in an artistic fairy tale shown from the screen, but also to ask the question "who made such a movie and why?" What will a person think who understands that cinema is one of the main tools for managing society? After watching it, he will have a completely natural thought that the state system of Russia, represented by the Ministry of Culture, is working to degrade the people, corrupting children and, in addition, turning them against their own parents.

Let's not choose between two options, which, as the saying goes, "both are worse." After all, the state is a very complex and multi-level structure. And if some part of the mechanism is dirty, rotten - or rats got in it, then you don't need to demolish the entire system to the ground, you need to clean out exactly that part that needs repair and restoration.

In our case, it means not moaning about what a bad state we have, “how terrible everything is,” and so on. And to name the specific names responsible for the creation of the analyzed "film masterpiece". Firstly, this is the film's director - Ekaterina Karas. Secondly, this is the screenwriter - Ekaterina Mavromatis. Thirdly, this is the production center - Mars Media Entertainment, which provided funding and distribution of the film. It is headed by Ruben Dindishyan. And fourthly, this is the director of the Department of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Since January 2018, the department has been headed by Olga Lyubimova, before her, the department was headed by Vyacheslav Telnov, under whom, apparently, the decision was made to sponsor the painting from the state budget.

All these people smile at us from TV screens, walk the red carpet, and sit in large offices. And they work together to discredit the statehood of Russia and destroy society. At the same time, the results of their crime are in the public domain, and everyone can make sure that everything written above is true, and not invented by the author, having spent 2 hours downloading and thoughtfully watching the film.

For this reason, I urge everyone who reads this review to send it out for publication in the patriotic media ready to call a spade a spade; if you have legal experience, send an appeal to the authorities, accompanying the content of the review with links to the necessary legislative framework; and most importantly - to be included in the informational process of cleansing our homeland from those who deliberately work to destroy it.

  • Drugs - There are scenes with alcohol consumption: champagne in bed, toasts and glasses at Vasya's father's birthday party, the main character's mother's drinking bout and others.
  • Sex - The film is filled with all kinds of sex stimuli: the characters are constantly discussing their intimate relationships, there are many scenes where they are completely naked, many scenes of a sexual nature. The camera regularly slides along the curves of the body and focuses on revealing outfits, short skirts, and more.
  • Violence - Several short fight scenes, footage of a drowned man.
  • Moral - Above the Sky aims to destroy trust in parent-child relationships. The image of fathers and mothers is presented in an extremely repulsive and unpleasant way. Free relationships, lecherous behavior and obsession with the topic of sex are also promoted. The support of this film by the Ministry of Culture is an open sabotage, aimed, among other things, at discrediting the statehood of Russia.
