People are sure they see the light. In fact, it's not that simple.
So far, no one has been able to see the light by itself. Yes, yes, this is easy to prove. The human eye can only see the light source. If there is no light source, the human eye will not detect the presence of light in space.
The entire cosmos is permeated with waves of light, but man does not see it, for him the cosmos is black. The stars are visible, these are sources of light, the moon is visible, it is also a source of light, like the sun. Interstellar space is empty. Light does not meet on its way any bodies capable of receiving its rays and becoming a source of light. If it were possible to fill space with a suspension of the finest dust, then it would glow, just like the atmosphere of a planet.
The planet is shrouded in a shell of gas, myriads of air particles, absorbing light from the Sun, generate glow themselves. And it seems to a person that he sees the light. In fact, everything that the eye can see is a source of light.
All surrounding objects are light sources. If you cover an object with a substance that does not emit light, the eye will not see it.
It is generally accepted that all objects reflect light. This is most likely not true. Bodies absorbing invisible rays begin to generate their own glow.
Some bodies only glow when they are in the rays of light. And some are able to accumulate light and then slowly emit it. We call these substances light-accumulating (luminophores).

Therefore, bodies do not reflect light, but generate their own. But this is just an assumption, and how all this happens in fact is not yet known to anyone.

Any light source, in our understanding of not reflected light, but generated light - these are bulbs, fire, cold plasma - does not produce light, but attracts, extracts it from space.
It can be assumed that there are processes of transition of matter from one space to another.
How to make sure that the eye cannot see light rays? The experiment is simple. On a dark night, you need to shine a flashlight into the sky. If the light source does not enter the eyes, the eyes will not fix the beam of light. If there is a lot of dust, or water particles (fog) in the air, then the light beam can be distinguished. But it will not be light, but a light source - small dust particles or microscopic water droplets glowing in the rays of invisible light.
There are a lot of things in nature that a person does not think about in everyday life. But, just look at any phenomenon from a different angle, new facets of the unknown immediately appear. This is how discoveries and inventions are born.
