We take on faith certain assumptions at our own expense, then we identify with them, and then, proceeding from these invented assumptions, we build our entire future life, guided by models of behavior "accepted" in society: how parents taught, how they taught at school, borrowing models behaviors from books read and watched films.

We do not just get used to certain roles, but also constantly check our roles with those of the people around us so as not to deviate from the general course. Many people are familiar with such attributes of a normal life as a decent job, a car, an apartment, a wife (husband) and several children. If we do not have something from this list, then we begin to suspect our “abnormality” in relation to the rest of the world, and as soon as possible we strive to join the society of “normal people”, filling in the gaps. Don't be a black sheep.

We do not speculate why the world is arranged this way and not otherwise, no. We just take on faith the order established in it. If on holidays it is "customary" to set the table and put a bottle on it - we set the table and put the bottle on it. How else? After all, this is done in all films, which means that it is correct.

If the news reports every day about wars, terrorist attacks and bloodless babies, we are certainly upset and upset. But we keep reading the news every day. How else? That's why they are news, to follow them. It makes sense, isn't it.

If we are told that we have enemies with whom we must fight, we agree: of course, we must fight against enemies. After all, they are enemies, and we are good. But the enemies are told that we are the enemies, and they are good.

And so on for thousands of years. Names change, the principle remains.

But who plays all these roles in us? Who is hiding under a hundred masks: son, daughter, brother, husband, friend, colleague. Who is the one outside of all roles?

Who am I?
