Kologrivsky forest is located on the border of the Nizhny Novgorod and Kostroma provinces. It is possible that Bigfoot has lived here from time immemorial, but the first mentions of him date back to the beginning of the last century, just in the post-revolutionary period.
In these turbulent times, when the Bolsheviks fought against numerous enemies of the Soviet regime, partisans suddenly appeared in the Kologriv forest, attacking representatives of the authorities, for example, they killed the director of the timber industry enterprise, then the chairman. God knows what they, the wretched, decided for, but after that a real hunt was arranged for these partisans. But the hunters themselves suffered in it, since the partisans turned out to be mysterious, hairy thugs under three meters in height.
Bigfoot hunters
The survivors said that these monsters were not only large in stature, but also possessed powerful muscles, short necks, long arms, and under a low evil they had small eyes. And the piercing gaze of these eyes simply mesmerized and put into a stupor any hunter, even the most courageous and experienced. One of the drivers who took part in the raid on these thugs partisans said that he escaped only because he was in the forester's house. True, the terrible humanoid almost destroyed this house, but it is not clear for what reason he suddenly abandoned this venture and left home.

The investigation showed that it was not animals that attacked people, that is, not bears, not some other large predators, but creatures unknown to science. Local residents began to be afraid to go to the forest, including hunters, but the authorities from above demanded that measures be taken, especially after these strange humanoids attacked the secretary of the regional committee who arrived in Kologriv, robbed him, and tied the chief's new hunting rifle in a knot.
The hunters again went to the forest, setting up numerous traps for bears, one of which only caught the investigator Malov. Being in a trap, the investigator began to call for help, after which a hairy thug three meters high appeared from the thicket. True, Bigfoot did nothing to Malov, he stood not far away, watched the man, and again moved into the thicket.
Bigfoot turned out to be not so simple
After that, the hunters decided to catch the yeti with the help of a deep hole, on top of which they piled branches, covered them with needles, and even scattered humanoid excrement around - for bait. Several men with guns led by Malov sat in ambush. And Bigfoot was caught - he fell into the hole. A net was immediately thrown over him, dragged out of the trap and loaded onto a cart. However, the triumph of the investigator was fleeting, as the Yeti easily freed himself from the net, and the hunters watched his actions as if under hypnosis, unable to do anything. The humanoid unhurriedly took off his net and went into the forest, and only after he disappeared did the hunters come to their senses, not understanding why none of them could even remove the safety lock, let alone shoot at the leaving Bigfoot … And Malov then disappeared, and in the most mysterious way:there was a man - and there is no one, not even any traces remained, by which one could at least judge where he had gone.
Almost a hundred years have passed since then, and no one has succeeded in catching a Bigfoot in the Kologriv Forest (now the Kologriv Natural Reserve), although, to be honest, no one has attempted to do this after the incident with Malov. There were, however, journalists and researchers of the paranormal, after the Great Patriotic War, who tried to take a photo or even a video of the Yeti, but they were not lucky either. The Bigfoot seemed to be reading the thoughts of people, for example, he is still met in the forest by hunters or mushroom pickers who come to the forest for completely different needs. In this case, the humanoid sometimes appears to people, hairy and huge, three meters tall. Behaves very calmly, observes the person, and will go home. At the same time, people themselves become paralyzed from his gaze.
The last such meeting took place quite recently, the yeti were seen by fishermen who hunted on a tributary of the Unzhi River. One of them woke up at dawn and was stunned: not far from the fire, a huge snowman was bending over his sleeping companion. Crossing his arms over his chest, the hairy giant simply looked at the fisherman, then, as if sensing that he was being watched, he turned and slowly left …
