Recently, a video appeared online in which the writer, author of books on African temples, Michael Tellinger, shows a giant imprint of a human foot on a stone.

It is not surprising that after this video, long-standing discussions about the giants that once allegedly inhabited the Earth were resumed. The imprint is indeed very similar to a human foot with clear five toes - as if a giant stepped on soft clay, which eventually turned to stone. Tellinger explains that the mysterious footprint was found in Swaziland, southern Africa, in a granite rock that geologists estimate is 2 to 3 billion years old.

Supporters of the theory of ancient giants considered this find its indisputable proof. And scientists have yet to have their say after thoroughly researching the alleged imprint. Of great interest to geologists is the composition of the stone, which Tellinger called granite, since granite is a form of volcanic rock that forms from magma, not clay or sand. That is, in order to leave such an imprint, the giant had to step barefoot on the cooling magma, and by no means on the clay soil.

From the above, three assumptions can be made:

1. The stone may not be granite.

2. The supposed imprint may be a natural formation, only similar to a human foot.

3. The "imprint" could have been specially carved on the stone for some purpose unknown to us. It can be a kind of ancient art, that is, it can be considered as a petroglyph. It is curious that petroglyphs in the form of footprints of people and animals were found in both Americas.

For example, here is a stone found in North Carolina, in the habitat of the Cherokee Indians, on which "footprints" of bears and deer are carved:

There are no images of human footprints on this stone, but they are also found in these places. So the likelihood that the stone found by Tellinger can really serve as evidence of the existence of ancient giants is very small. However, experts still have their say.
