The Montpellier resident suffered a heart attack and was able to survive the cardiac arrest.

In France, relatives found a 53-year-old man unconscious. The doctors who arrived at the call recorded that his body temperature was only 22 ° C, and his heart was not beating.

It turned out that the man had a heart attack. Doctors tried to resuscitate him on the spot, after which they took him to the hospital. The entire process of rescuing and transporting him took about four hours, during which doctors non-stop gave him heart massage.

In the hospital, the man was connected to a life support apparatus and tried to raise his body temperature. As a result, when this was successful, the patient's heart was started again.

According to the head of the intensive care unit of the Montpellier University Hospital, Jonathan Charbit, the man was saved by the fact that his temperature dropped. Cooling the body protected its brain and other organs.

“The entire medical team was stunned. This case can be included in the textbooks as something extraordinary. The likelihood of a person returning to life in such a situation is close to zero”, - quotes a specialist from The Sun.

The incident happened on March 12th. Now the man is recovering, and doctors do not record any brain damage in him.

The incredibly lucky man received only rib fractures after chest compressions, but he will be completely healthy in the near future.
