On Tuesday April 2, 2019, an American researcher of anomalous creatures Lon Strickler received a call from a woman from El Paso, Texas, and told the eerie story of how she was attacked by a large humanoid creature.
Strickler contacted Texas researcher Bruce Cornet and he was able to contact the victim, take her photographs, and walk with her to the place where everything happened.
The woman, whose name is listed only as YP, was driving her car through a desert area east of El Paso with her husband and young son. The woman wanted to go to the toilet "in a small way" and they stopped near the bushes.
The woman moved a little to the side behind a small mound, but did not have time to do her business, as something rustled in the bushes and a bipedal creature appeared from there, as tall as a man, but covered from head to toe with hair.
The creature chased after the woman and managed to scratch her bare legs (she was in shorts), as well as punch her in the lower back. The woman still has scratches on her legs and bruises on her back.
She screamed, but the creature left her only when her husband jumped out of the car. The attack took place at about 10 pm and it was because of the darkness that the victim and her husband might not immediately see this creature in the thickets.
Researcher Bruce Cornet, together with YP, visited this place and, according to him, everything looks like there really was a scuffle, the grass in a small area is badly crushed, and in some places there is visible fresh bare earth.

According to the original version of YP, this creature crawled out from somewhere out of the ground, possibly from a burrow, but Cornet did not find any burrows in these thickets. However, he found a place with very soft and loose sand and he had a version that the creature was lying in this hole.
According to the woman, when she saw this creature, she climbed up the mound to return to the car, and then the creature grabbed her leg with force, leaving the strongest scratches. At the same time, it felt like his fingers were not like a human, but with very sharp claws. That is why Bruce Cornet is not sure if it was a Bigfoot, maybe another monster was working here.
In the archives of the Cornet, there was a mention of the observation of the so-called "Desert Monkey", which happened in 2001, just a couple of miles from the place where YP was attacked. An eyewitness saw a very tall two-legged creature (more than 2 meters), which wandered near his trailer and made a loud growl.
YP herself is very upset by this incident and wants as many people as possible to know about it, and her little son says that something really attacked her mother.
According to Lon Strickler, the victim could have collided not with a Bigfoot, but with the so-called Grinner. This rare creature looks like a Bigfoot, but is usually much taller and thinner. And on his hands he has large nails, like claws.
