The Pamir is a huge mountain system that unites several countries of Asia, but it cannot be said that it has been completely and completely mastered by man, or studied at least by a third. The terrain is difficult to access - it is highlands from 2500 to 7500 meters, in which there is no good weather. The mountain range attracts climbers, scientists, researchers, who talk about strange phenomena seen far from civilization.

It must be said that many legends circulate around the territory, including in Tajikistan: they say that even at the time when the Great Silk Road passed here, caravans, carrying goods for sale, or returning with a profit, disappeared. Therefore, many are trying to find this path, and treasures, wishing to get rich. But the mountains are changeable - bad weather and rockfalls hide paths and caves, changing the appearance of places beyond recognition.

Such treasure hunters often spoke of the footprints of a huge unknown animal in the snow.

In 1974, an official expedition headed by instructor Igor Tatsl in search of an unknown monster went to the Pamirs (to the southern spur of the Gissar ridge in Tajikistan). Local highlanders even gave him the name "odami-yawoi" ("wild man") - they got used to his invisible presence, and, without saying a word, divided the habitat. The creature dominates the so-called Gorge of Fear, and people are just downstream of the Siam River. The gorge is dangerous - sometimes stones are falling down, then a strange hum is heard, similar to choral singing, then people see fireballs or rays of light emanating from the rocks.

For several years in a row Tatzl took the groups to the gorge. Excitement seized him after the first night in the valley of the Siama River, when the camp was attacked by a giant who gutted all the supplies, disfigured bags and backpacks and left their traces. For lack of another name, Igor called the night guest a Bigfoot, and was eager to find him. In 1981, the members of the group were finally able to see the beast with their own eyes - on the border of the forest there was a huge hairy humanoid creature, inspiring fear and delight at the same time.

But further events could not be attributed to the tricks of the Bigfoot - devilry was going on in the camp, you cannot say otherwise. That summer, people began to notice how things left unattended changed their places, which could be attributed to fatigue and inattention until one of the group members was thrown into the air right along with the tent, and the other was thrown to the other side of the unknown river. by force. The expedition is damned, people invaded other people's possessions and paid for it?

Further stay near the Fear Gorge became unbearable. People complained about realistic, and, most importantly, the same dreams: two girls dreamed that they had found a cave with a strange device inside. The voice told them that if you press the button, you can visit any place on earth. And they went to visit the parents of one of the girls. The second was in this house for the first time, but when she woke up, she was able to describe in detail the decoration of the room and the people she did not know.

Records of other expeditionary groups over the next 10 years are full of reports of strange visions. In 1984, a climber wrote a report on the glowing balls over the valley, the silhouette of an elongated man, who, according to his observations, was 190-200 cm tall and the footprints left by him were 35 cm long, at a distance of 112 cm - which indicates a huge stride length.

In the 90s, a real hunt was announced for the "odes-java", but it was not possible to kill or catch the beast.

This area keeps many secrets and mysteries. In the lakes at an altitude of 4000 meters, people see giant monsters (Dragon Lake), in the Matatash cave they try to find treasures or a solution to the riddle with flying lights. Or maybe the Pamir is Shambhala?

The Pamir gives a huge scope for search and research of various kinds, but it does not forgive mistakes for inexperienced and poorly trained climbers or self-confident tourists.
