The incredible discovery was made in South Africa, about 150 km west of the port of Maputo. A couple of years ago, the remains of a huge ancient metropolis, spread over an area of 1,500 square kilometers, were discovered there.
It is the oldest city on Earth, and according to researchers, it forms part of an even larger community of 10,000 square kilometers.
As the authors assure us, the ancient structure was built 160,000 or 200,000 years before the birth of Christ.
The region lies somewhat remote from modern life, and the visible "crop circles" so often encountered by local residents, according to their legends, were left from the indigenous inhabitants of the past.
