The far-distant dwarf planet TG387, dubbed The Goblin by astronomers, has been discovered in observations that redefine the outer boundaries of the solar system and again raise questions about the possibility of a hypothetical Planet 9, also known as Nibiru.

Technically, object TG387 was discovered three years ago by astronomers at the Carnegie Institute of Science using a giant Japanese observatory in Hawaii called Subaru. The Carnegie team first spotted the object in 2015 and then began tracking its journey around the sun, trying to calculate the orbit of what astronomers thought was a piece of rock. But as it turned out these days, we are not talking about a rock, but about a real planet.

TG387, dubbed Goblin, is a very remote ice world, a planet with a diameter of about 300 kilometers. It is located approximately in the middle of the Oort cloud at a distance of 65 AU from the Sun, that is, it is 65 times farther from the Sun than the Earth.

As a result of such a huge orbit, the Goblin makes a full circle around the Sun in about 40,000 years and is not visible for 99% of its trajectory due to its distance and its small size. That is why the planet was discovered so recently. In addition, modern telescopes have a very limited angle of view.

The discovery was made using the Japanese 8-meter Subaru telescope located on the inactive volcano Mauna Kea in Hawaii. Subaru's telescope is the only one in the world capable of producing images so detailed that objects on the outer edge of the solar system are visible. But this is his problem.

Scott Sheppard of the Carnegie Institution in Washington and a team member explains, “We're just now revealing what the outer solar system might look like and what else might be there. Working with large telescopes is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Such telescopes are good for observing things you know, but they are not good for finding and identifying something new because their field of view is too small to cover large areas of the sky. Therefore, we believe that there are thousands of dwarf planets at the edge of the solar system. Now we just see the tip of the iceberg."

And with this thesis, David Tolen, University of Hawaii and Konstantin Batygin, assistant professor of astronomy at the University of Caltech, who called the discovery of Sheppard's team a genius, fully agree. The fact is that the Goblin has a too elliptical orbit and revolves not only around the Sun, but also around some other center of mass. To date, the Goblin has become the 14th object orbiting this center of mass:

Thus, Planet 9 or Planet X is much more than a hypothetical theory. Based on the orbits of 14 already discovered objects, the Caltech researchers calculated that Planet 9 should have at least 10 Earth masses and orbit the Sun with a period of 10-20,000 years. Perhaps it is somewhere beyond the orbit of Neptune, but so far no telescope has seen it.

Editorial comment

If we count from 2016, then this discovery of another planet somewhere in the Oort cloud is at least the tenth official announcement, in which the possibility of the existence of Nibiru is gradually brought to the widest masses.

After a century of denial of the very possibility, such things cannot be said immediately and directly from the shoulder, otherwise the fragile official picture of the world in the heads of the masses will crumble, which will cause undesirable consequences for controlling the masses. Therefore, everything is done correctly, that is, gradually, so that people get used to the idea and do not jump out of the windows when they see something new, red, round and different in the sky.

Ten years ago, at the mere mention of Nibiru, the official astronomers scoffed at the speakers, but now Planet 9 is a completely official scientific version, which is confirmed by the orbits of the newly discovered minor planets and asteroids. That is, the officials seem to admit that Nibiru exists, but for now, to calm the public, they point their fingers somewhere in the direction of Neptune and talk about the 10 masses of the Earth. However, even this is progress.

At the same time, the reality is still a little different and the mass of Planet 9 is not 10 Earth masses, but rather 10 Jupiter masses, which makes it like a star. And the period of revolution around the Sun for Planet 9 does not last 10,000 years, but no more than a thousand: it can be roughly calculated based on the chronology of geological catastrophes that from time to time destroy civilization on Earth. Having precisely determined the age of the newest antediluvian building, we, thereby, will be able to say when Nibiru flew dangerously close to the Earth last time.

And in a new cycle, Planet 9 flies by right now, warming up the Earth's core with its gamma radiation. So the main cataclysms are yet to come. The only thing that is still not clear: will the continents start moving before or after the officials openly declare about Nibiru?
