The soul will remain, they assure us. The soul is eternal! What is a soul? Nobody knows for sure. They say that the righteous will be resurrected and will live an eternal, blissful life in paradise. The sinner will receive eternal torment as punishment. But which of us is without sin? The desire to live during life is stronger than the desire for the posthumous eternal being.
There is a wonderful theory of reincarnation - the incarnation and reincarnation of the soul. The death of a person is only a change in the bodily shell of the soul. There are other theories of life after death. But are there any facts?
Probably many people know the book by Raymond Moody "Life After Life". It contains numerous examples, descriptions of the state of people, stories of survivors of clinical death. In most stories, they talked about how consciousness is separated from the body and about observing the body and everything that happens from the outside. The person felt liberated. He often rushed through a dark corridor, at the end of which a blissful light appeared. And often returning to their body did not feel joy.
The data on the experiments of hypnotists are also curious. Thus, the doctor-hypnotist Boris Bogomyslov "resettled" the subject into a personality that was genetically related to him - into a father, grandfather, etc. This is how these experiments are described in the book "To Look Behind the Curtain of Time":

If the son could know in general terms that his father once studied at a military school, it is unlikely that he could know all the details associated with this, including even how the educational buildings were located. And in the end, it is unlikely that a father would begin to tell his young son about the circumstances of his personal life.
This and other experiments of this kind have shown convincingly: a person who is immersed in the past in the image of a concrete person who lived then can learn about things and circumstances that he could not know about before. These are examples of reincarnation through hypnosis.

Many of the great thinkers believed in the existence of mysterious entities. Aristotle, for example, believed that in addition to people, birds, animals and other well-known forms of life next to us, there are still some creatures that are not perceived by our senses, having a more subtle etheric body, but which are as substantial as and those that we see. Our counterparts in the anti-world are separated from us by space and time, but our thinking with them is one and impossible without the other. Hence the possibility of communication, for example, in a dream, hypnotic or extrasensory situation.
• Ancient historians also mention meetings with doubles.
