Is our universe an illusion? Experts of convoluted ideas continue to propose controversial theories, suggesting that we, like the entire environment around us, are part of a complex system.
Perhaps we are deceived into our belief in our own reality with the help of some kind of super-machine that simulates reality and creates everything that we consider and perceive as reality.
What is reality and what do we actually perceive by this definition? According to a well-known expert, reality can be just an illusion built in the depths of a complex system.
The theory, which was submitted by the scientist Donald Hoffman of the University of California, reveals to us an interesting secret of the world: everything that we observe and feel around us, in reality, can be a "facade" more complex than the "matrix" of the system.
Professor Hoffman carries the idea that the world we live in may be too difficult for people to understand to realize that we are, in fact, deceived into believing in our own reality. The scientist believes that everything around us is a "world" that allows us to move in a more complex and very well hidden matrix.
Hoffman's theory is certainly not new, and over the past few years, scientists have been discussing the possibility that we are part of a complex system, and the reality as we perceive it simply does not exist until we "join" it.
For example, Hoffman says: when we open our eyes and see a tomato lying not far from us, we believe that it is there, but as soon as we close our eyes, everything disappears. Now Hoffman asks when the eyes are closed and the tomato is not visible is it still our reality, is the tomato still there? How can we be sure that reality has not disappeared, or has not changed?
All this, of course, is very controversial, but the scientist, meanwhile, continues to develop an intricate theory: you are not holding a glass of fine wine with your hand, but this can be interpreted as a symbol that is part of a deeper reality with the ultimate goal of causing any action or emotion.

Once upon a time Galileo wrote: I think that tastes, smells, colors and many other things are in our minds. However, this suggests a conclusion: is it really possible that if all creatures die out, then all this will be destroyed?
Interesting suggestion: Some neuroscientists believe that the brain builds in real time all the shapes, objects, colors, and smells that we perceive with our senses. Indeed, this is of course debatable, but beyond the horizon, the brain is not able to "finish" objects, because they are not visible, but they seem to be there.
It seems that we are only taking a snapshot of the environment, building everything that we see in our imagination. At the same time, we do not create the whole world at once and in full. Our consciousness "downloads" only what we need at the current time. Everything else remains behind the "scene" of perception.
According to a set of curious theories proposed by neuroscience, our perception of the world is only evolutionary traits that allowed our ancestors to successfully make quick decisions with extremely limited data.

According to Hoffman, we will not be able to form a correct description of our computer, since our entire view of reality is limited to the framework of the desktop of the operating system interface. However, it is still useful to us.
The scientist says that blue rectangular icons on the monitor guide our behavior when working with a computer, hiding an extremely complex reality behind them, which is not designed for the average user to understand. In the same way, everything can be arranged in the "big world".
This is a key idea for understanding the world, says Hoffman. Evolution has shaped us with beliefs that allow us to survive. They organize adaptive behaviors. Nevertheless, part of what reality includes hides from us those things that we should not know, they are simply superfluous for us.
- And yet, when they talk about the illusion / simulation of our world, sometimes they do not imply specifically that what surrounds us is just an illusion created in a certain complex device (however, these ideas sound differently for different authors). Of course, all of these items certainly exist. But how much are they the way we imagine them?
For example, we all have more than once looked at the movement of the Sun in the sky. But at the same time, we are well aware of the illusory nature of observation - the star does not move anywhere, in reality we ourselves are moving around the star. It turns out that we are observing a disagreement with the real state of affairs, that is, what represents a large-scale illusion.

The basic idea of simulating our world in the “big computer of the creator” contains one interesting idea, or rather there are many ideas, but they are similar in their aspirations to show the wrong side of the world. So, according to the assumption, we are all advanced "programmer" code.
We have all heard more than once about such things as ghosts and ghosts - this is not a paranormal phenomenon, but just deleted / deleted pieces of program code of "real" characters for us. That is, those people who, for one reason or another, are no longer needed in the simulation of life.
Another argument in favor of the theory calls for such a weirdness of the mental state as "Deja Vu". A truly phenomenal phenomenon, when a person has a memory of a place / event that he had not exactly experienced before, but his memory firmly tells him the opposite is nothing more than a system failure that causes the personality of two characters to overlap one object.
