Many people think about how good it would be if they were constantly lucky in life. They wonder how to become lucky and happy and always recognize the right places. At first glance, what could be easier - you just need to listen to your own intuition, always be open to everything new and be able to abandon the familiar.

Experts advise to devote a few minutes a day to the memories of something pleasant, and after enjoying pleasant thoughts, try to preserve this “aftertaste”. And only then get down to business. Introduce yourself as lucky before every meeting or important phone call. After all, by and large, luck is based on the fact that a person predicts it for himself. These are the conclusions reached by a psychologist from the UK, Professor Weissman.

Several years ago, he became interested in why some people are always in the right place at the right time, and others are constantly unlucky. The professor placed an ad in all the famous print media, in which he invited people who considered themselves to be chronic losers or lucky ones to write to him. As a result, so many people wrote to him that at first Weisman was even confused. Nevertheless, he began to correspond with them constantly. The doctor asked his interlocutors many questions, organized various experiments, imperceptibly placing them in the conditions of the so-called predicted luck. In the course of his research, he found out that the decisive factor is the attitude to luck, the ability to use chance. So, for example, in the bottom of the tests, the participants in the experiment received a newspaper and had to calculate how many photographs there were. And on one of the pages, a large ad was posted, which said that whoever noticed this ad would receive a reward from the organizer of the experiment. Only those who considered themselves lucky were able to notice it, and unlucky people simply missed it.

According to the professor, this happened because losers feel stressed, they are constantly worried about something and this deprives them of the ability to notice the unexpected. At the same time, the lucky ones are more open and relaxed, they look around with interest, and therefore can see more. Professor Weissman argues that the qualities necessary to become successful can be developed in oneself.

So, for example, there are several categories of dreamers who want to become actors. One group acts at random. Having decided on a theater university, they persistently go towards their goal, overcoming the most inaccessible obstacles. And many manage to catch their luck by the tail. People of the second group in most cases do not realize their dream, until the end of their lives only remembering their unfulfilled hopes.

There are a lot of such examples. For example, most politicians, creative people and businessmen can be considered lucky.

Professor Weissman observed a group of people doing self-training for a month. As a result, more than 80 percent of the participants in the experiment felt much happier. From all this, we can draw a simple conclusion: happy is the one who considers himself so.

But at the same time, this is only one aspect. An ordinary person cannot foresee his fate and does not know what dangers await him in life. But there are those lucky ones who seem to be guarded by a guardian angel, and they emerge victorious from the most incredible and dangerous tests. With the help of training, it is impossible to achieve such luck, here we can already talk about the presence of mysticism and magic.

There are many cases in history when people fled from danger in an incredible way. So, for example, in the century before last, the sailor James Jones lived in England, who was famous for having repeatedly escaped in the most terrible shipwrecks, remaining the only survivor. He received the nickname Lucky. The sailor himself could not explain the causes of the disasters, just as he did not understand how he managed to escape. After another shipwreck, Lucky decided to end his career as a sailor and no longer tempt fate. He became the keeper of the Nobby Head lighthouse, however, he managed to distinguish himself here, too, taking an active part in the rescue of the crew of the Cowarra, a steamer that crashed nearby.

An equally happy woman lived in Poland. Barbarau Role was called the Immortal. Her name was even entered in the Guinness Book of Records, because in 77 years of her life she was literally on the verge of death 127 times, but each time she managed to avoid death. The first danger arose when the girl was only three years old - she fell out of a fifth-floor window. The witness of the fall was so shocked that she lost consciousness and was run over by a car. And Barbara herself fell on a pile of cardboard boxes that were lying around the house. At the age of 10, the girl was again in danger. She was hit by a bicycle, on which a man weighing more than a centner was riding. As a result, the cyclist received broken arms, legs and two ribs, severe concussion. And Barbara just tore a new dress. A few years later, the girl was hit by a car,but the car suddenly fell off a wheel and the driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Barbara was not hurt again.

Then everything continued in the same spirit. Once a girl with her parents went to the opera, during the performance a huge chandelier fell. There were many injured, but the girl didn't even have a scratch. When Poland was occupied by the Germans, the SS man shot at her, but, quite obviously, missed. Then a German Junkers fell near the girl, but the girl was not even touched by a shrapnel. In addition, Barbara survived fires, gas explosions, bandit attacks, avalanches, bricks falling from roofs, collapse of stairs and floors. She was involved in serious car accidents four times, one of which killed her husband. He sat next to his wife, but his body was so disfigured by the accident that Barbara hardly recognized him. The woman herself in that accident just lost a tooth. This was perhaps the most serious loss of all time. In other cases, the woman got off with minor abrasions, therefore I received nothing from the insurance companies.

An equally unusual woman lives in Tatarstan. A resident of Kazan Olga Suvorova was born in a shirt. In the spring of 1996, the girl was in a boat on Lake Kaban. Suddenly the boat capsized and the girl found herself in the icy water. Her fiancé drowned, and Olya, who could not even swim, was picked up by fishermen. But Olga's misadventures did not end there. In November of the same year, she was brought in extremely serious condition from the neurosurgical department. At the party, a drunken acquaintance shot her in the head. For a long period of time, the bullet could not be removed. Nevertheless, the girl remained alive. Olga does not know what awaits her in the future, but it is quite possible that this is even for the best.

The famous cosmonaut Georgy Grechko also escaped death more than once. Only three times did he sink. During the war, he was wounded by a shrapnel, moreover, he was stuck a little higher than his heart. In the fall of 2000, an Il-18 plane with relatives of the Russian military crashed near the Batumi airport. In front of this plane was flying another, on which there was an astronaut.

There is also a lot of evidence in the world of how people managed to catch their luck by winning big money in the lottery. However, in most cases, these people could not keep their luck, and their winnings turned into a real nightmare for them.

So, for example, in 1993, American Susan Mullins won more than $ 4 million in the lottery. In this country, you can immediately receive a prize, but in this case its amount is slightly reduced, or you can take it in parts, then it will be paid in full. The woman decided to wait a few years and get all the money. But at the same time, she wanted to feel all the delights of a rich life, so she literally immediately got into debt. Several years later, Susan demanded to pay her the rest of the winnings, but she did not have enough money to pay off her debts. Ultimately, the loan company sued the woman for over $ 150 million and won.

A similar story happened with the Briton Michael Carroll. He worked as a scavenger. In 2002, he was lucky to win 9.7 million pounds in the lottery (that's roughly $ 15 million). The money turned his head, and it began - expensive cars, drugs, parties and women of easy virtue. A few years later, millions ended and the ultimate dream was to return to his former job.

Another person who lost his head over big money is American America Lopez. He resigned immediately, but did not tell his colleagues about the prize, but lied that he injured his leg and went to the hospital. However, someone managed to find out what really happened. It is clear that the others also learned about it. There was no limit to the indignation of former colleagues, since there was an agreement between them that in case of winning the lottery, money should be honestly divided among everyone. Former colleagues have sued and won by getting their money.

Sometimes winning the lottery entails troubles in life that are associated with money. So, for example, in 1988, a resident of Pennsylvania William Post won $ 16 million in the lottery. Immediately after that, his ex-wife filed a lawsuit against him, demanding part of the winnings, his brother hired a hitman counting on a rich inheritance, and his relatives constantly demanded a loan. A year later, Post went bankrupt and amassed a $ 1 million debt. Currently, the failed millionaire lives on $ 450 in social security benefits.

After winning more than one million dollars in the lottery, American Denise Rossi decided to start a new life. First of all, the woman decided to leave her husband, but did not say a word to him about money. The husband suspected that something was wrong, but nevertheless agreed to a divorce. A few years later, the truth came out. Then the ex-husband filed a lawsuit, and the court decided that Denise should give her husband every last cent.

All these examples prove one thing: the main thing is not to catch luck, but to be able to keep it.
