In November 1944, Jean Dixon, who had already established herself as a reliable fortuneteller, was invited to the seriously ill President Roosevelt. He received it in the Oval Office and, after exchanging greetings, bluntly asked, "How much time do I have left for the things I have to complete?" The guest asked permission to put her hand on the president's hand and did not immediately answer: "Not more than six months."
Roosevelt was silent for several minutes, coping with stress, and started a conversation about Russia: how to do business with this huge and incomprehensible country? Dixon replied that Russia, unfortunately, will not be a US ally after the war, but in the more distant future the two nations will become friends.
Dixon received her second invitation to the White House in January 1945. Roosevelt again immediately asked: "Well, now how much time do I have left?" The soothsayer pointed with her thumb and forefinger: "That's that much." The distance between the fingers is no more than an inch. Roosevelt nodded sadly and again started a conversation about post-war politics, about Russia and the United States: how will relations develop?.. "They will become allies in the face of the threat from Red China," Jean replied. “Red China? - the president asked. “But China is not red at all! We have no problem with him. " “I looked into my crystal ball,” the fortuneteller said, “and I see for sure: China will become communist.”
In February, Roosevelt traveled to Yalta for an Allied conference. And on April 12 he died while undergoing another course of hydrotherapy. Six months have passed since his first meeting with Dixon.

The Washington Pythia was born on January 3, 1918, in Medward, Wisconsin. Soon her father, a wealthy timber merchant by the name of Pinkert, moved with his family to California. Jin spent her childhood there.

When the girl was eight years old, Mrs. Pinkert took her to Luther Burbank's estate, where a gypsy fortune-teller lived. Looking at the girl's palm, the fortune-teller announced that she was going to become a famous fortuneteller, since such lines in her palm, like hers, occur once every thousand years, and gave Jean a crystal ball, in which, according to her, the girl can read the future.
Jin really liked the new toy, which showed all sorts of interesting pictures. But they were "shown" only to her, and the believing mother saw in this the providence of God. “Since the Lord has awarded you a visionary gift, you should use it only for the good of people, and not for personal gain,” she instilled in her daughter.
If you don't believe, you will lose
In 1939, Jean married a wealthy entrepreneur, James Dixon. The newlyweds moved to Washington. Soon, Jean had an opportunity to make her skeptic husband believe in the reality of her visionary gift. She literally with tears begged James not to fly to Chicago. And the next morning, the radio reported that the plane on which he was going to fly crashed, all passengers were killed. Since then, the husband never questioned his wife's premonitions.
Which, alas, cannot be said about others. So, Jean warned the famous actress Carol Lombard and her friend that they should not fly by plane for six weeks. Both did not heed her warnings and died in plane crashes.
During World War II, high-ranking officials and diplomats often turned to her to find out how events would develop on the fronts. At one of the receptions in January 1945, she predicted to Harry Truman that he would become President of the United States, and four years later predicted his re-election to this post. Winston Churchill, during his visit to Washington in the spring of that year, Dixon warned that he should not rush to the election, otherwise he would be defeated. The British leader condescendingly laughed at the American's prediction. “England will never let me down,” he said and … after the elections he had appointed for June, he lost his post of prime minister.
In the fall of 1946, she told an Indian diplomat that in a year, his country would be divided. "This will never happen!" - he objected. On February 20, 1947, newspapers reported on the emergence of the new state of Pakistan.
In 1947, Jean had a vision that Mahatma Gandhi would fall victim to a fanatic assassin. Six months later, on January 3, 1948, it happened. At the end of 1956, her prediction appeared in the newspapers that in about seven years, a man whose surname begins with the letter "sh" will become the successor of Jawaharlal Nehru. The crystal ball did not deceive Jin: on May 27, 1964, the Indian Parliament entrusted the post of Prime Minister of the country to Lalu Bahadur Shastri.
Black clouds over the White House
Jean Dixon's most visions were associated with John F. Kennedy. Back in 1952, in St. Matthew's Cathedral, a strange picture opened up to her: the figure "1960" shone over the White House in Washington, and the figure of a tall blue-eyed man with thick reddish hair appeared in front of him. Then a black cloud appeared over the figure, and an inner voice told Jin that a Democrat would win the presidential election in 1960 and then die a violent death.
And although Democrat John F. Kennedy became president in 1960, matching the description of the man in the vision, no one took her warning of impending disaster seriously. At the end of October 1963, Jean met with Kay Hall, who was friends with the Kennedy family, told her that she saw black clouds gathering over the White House: sinking lower and lower, they stretch to the southwest, to Texas, where the president was going to go. But as soon as the host introduced her, another participant, the former US Ambassador to the USSR Davis, asked: how long will Matenkov be Prime Minister? Peering into the crystal ball. Among the witnesses to her prediction of a Soviet satellite launch was Andrew Haley, an adviser to the International Federation of Astronautics and the American Aeronautical Institute. Jean Dixon, to the great dismay of the scientists, was unable to provide them with any technical details. Dixon saw the coming tragedies especially clearly. So, in December 1966, she warned Jean Stout, the wife of the head of the manned space flight control department, that astronauts who were preparing to fly to the moon were in danger of death. Here is her vision: “Something strange lies on the floor of the rocket - thin, like foil. If a tool falls on it or someone steps with a heel, there will be trouble. A month later, on January 27, 1967, Virgil Grissom, Edward White and Roger Chaffee were burned alive during training inside Apollo 1. A short circuit in the wires underneath Chaffee's chair in a pure oxygen atmosphere caused an instant flash of flame.
Jean Dixon said that information about future events comes to her through several channels. First, these are the signs that arise when the fortune teller physically touches a person. Contact helps her "tune in to the wave of a person, to catch his vibrations", and her whole life appears before her, both in the past and in the future. The second source of information is its crystal ball. Predictions with his help also require a large expenditure of her own energy. After the sessions, she experienced a breakdown, and often she even experienced the mental and physical suffering of others.
The main source of foresight is vision. She felt their approach in two or three days, but they could arise completely unexpectedly. “The vision is different from what I see in the ball, like day from night. Jean's list of fulfilled prophecies is quite impressive. She accurately predicted the outcome of all, with one exception, the presidential elections in the States, the death of John Foster Dulles and the suicide of Marilyn Monroe, the resignation of German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and the 1964 Alaska earthquake, the demolition of the Berlin Wall, and much more.
Jean Dixon died on January 25, 1997. For scientists, it has remained a mystery.
