The active introduction of any cutting-edge technology often leads to many negative consequences. So, the appearance of machines in production at the beginning of the 20th century led to a huge number of protests, which were caused by a sharp decline in the number of jobs. The development of 5G technology in this case is no exception, since one of the results of its work may be the failure of all meteorological satellites. Is it really? Well, let's try to answer this question together.

What is 5G?

5G technology is the latest generation of mobile communications, offering higher data throughput compared to 4G technology. Despite the great advantages that this type of communication promises, it is known that the technology of high-speed mobile connection was tried to be banned in Switzerland due to its potentially harmful effects on the human body. Although there is currently no official data on the dangers of 5G technology, a number of scientific studies have been able to confirm that high-power radio frequencies can significantly raise a person's body temperature, having an extremely negative effect on him.

In addition, the threat, as it often happens, can come from the most unexpected direction: due to the fact that 5G technology intends to make certain changes in its standard set of frequencies and take higher rates from 24.25 to 25.23 GHz, which are close to broadcasting frequencies of meteorological satellites, sooner or later we may lose weather and climate forecasts.

Because the close frequency overlap will make it extremely difficult for meteorological satellites to accurately read and predict the weather, the World Meteorological Organization is proposing to reduce the frequency of 5G satellites by 55 decibels, which the US Federal Communications Commission strongly disagrees with.

Due to the fact that most meteorological satellites have radiometers that measure the microwave radiation of the seas and oceans of our planet and make it possible to predict in advance the likelihood of potential storms, without the effective operation of these satellite systems, forecasting upcoming hurricanes will become much more difficult, setting the accuracy of meteorological forecasts 30 years ago. …

Ultimately, in order for meteorological satellites to accurately predict the likelihood of dangerous storms and hurricanes, we will need to find a way to avoid frequency interference. Time will tell whether large companies will be able to come to an agreement among themselves and come to some kind of compromise that would preserve not only the health of humanity, but also its science.
