Why is this fifth generation of mobile data so important to the alliance?
While earlier mobile technologies have been refined to create even better smartphones, 5G is not only designed to improve their performance, but mainly to connect digital systems that need huge amounts of data to operate automatically.

Military experts foresee that the 5G system will play an important role in the use of hypersonic weapons - missiles, including those with nuclear warheads, that move at speeds exceeding Mach 5. To guide them along variable trajectories, changing direction in fractions of a second, in order to avoid interceptor missiles, it is necessary to collect, process and transfer huge amounts of data in very short time.
The same is necessary to activate anti-missile defense in the event of an attack using this type of weapon. Since there is not enough time to make such decisions, the only option is to rely on automatic 5G systems.

This new technology will also play a key role in the combat network. With the ability to simultaneously communicate with millions of transceivers within a defined area, this will allow military personnel - departments and individuals - to transmit maps, photographs and other information about an ongoing operation to each other in near real time.
5G will also be extremely important for intelligence agencies and special forces. This will enable the use of command and control systems and espionage systems that are much more effective than the ones we use today. This will improve the lethality of attack drones and military robots, giving them the ability to identify people, track them and target them based on face recognition and other characteristics.
The 5G network, as a weapon of high-tech power, will also be the target for cyberattacks and military actions using new generation weapons.
Like the United States, this technology is being developed by China and other countries. Thus, the international controversy surrounding 5G is not only commercial. The military importance of 5G is almost completely ignored because critics of this technology, including many scientists, focus their attention on its harmful effects on health and the environment due to exposure to electromagnetic fields.
This interaction is, of course, of great importance, but it must be related to research on the use of this technology for military purposes, which is indirectly funded by ordinary users.
