Scientists claim that classical music has the ability to influence mental capacity. It is noteworthy that the researchers simultaneously confirmed and at the same time refuted this theory.

The first studies on the influence of classical music on the human body were carried out at the beginning of the last century, at the time when the first industrial conveyors appeared. Plant employees noted that repetitive work had a negative impact on productivity. However, after listening to classical songs, employees' productivity increased by 10%. At the end of the last century, another experiment was carried out, in which three students took part. They were asked to perform complex tasks accompanied by musical compositions, sounds of nature or in complete silence. After that, experts checked their IQ level. Compared to the controls, IQ increased six to eight points after listening to the classics. However, this theory did not receive approval in the scientific community, since after repeated listening, the results of the participants in the experiment remained the same.

However, scientists argue that listening to classical music can indeed affect a person's mental and physical abilities, as well as increase brain activity. This influence depends on other additional factors. So, the character warehouse, or the rhythm and speed of melodies, as well as the emotional coloring of each composition, are capable of affecting mental abilities.
