The horizontal eight, which is the sign of infinity in the esoteric tradition, means space and time, and the two circles of this symbol mean the cycles of life and death. At the same time, the points of transition from the world of the dead to our world and vice versa are the points of contact of these two circles (cycles), in one of which the movement follows clockwise, and in the other - counterclockwise. A person, existing in one loop, goes through the cycle of life and then goes into another loop - into the cycle of death, existence in the other world.

Therefore, the two circles of the horizontal eight symbolize not only space and time, but also life and death, yin and yang, the world of the living and the world of the dead, which exist in a single relationship with each other. That is why, describing the horizontal figure eight, we return to the starting point and begin a new cycle of unity and successive transition of opposites.

But what an interesting interpretation of this symbol is given by N. Golomysova in her book “Two eyes of two worlds. The main secret of Egypt "based on the combination of two symbols of the Egyptian Eye of Udjat, the images of which she found on one of the sarcophagi:" If you look at the two eyes connected by the inner tips, which does not happen in nature, and therefore, there is something else behind this, then we see a clear similarity with a horizontally located, as it were, lying figure eight, which (figure eight) is later called in mathematics the infinity sign. It is possible that these united Egyptian Ujats forever intermarried the image of the recumbent figure of eight with the symbol of infinity. The two connected eyes of Ujat (the Eye of Heaven and the Eye of the Earth) create infinity.

In this regard, I would like to suggest a certain version for further reflection. To do this, it is necessary to recall one religious postulate of the Egyptians used by the priests in the ritual actions of the mysteries, namely: clockwise movement in a circle is a movement for life, and counterclockwise movement is for death.

What is eight? In the beginning, it is a circle along which a continuous, progressive movement is always made in one direction, for example, clockwise in a vital direction, unless, of course, the integrity or progressiveness of the movement is violated. But if one end of the circle is turned to the right, and the opposite end of the circle to the left, then we get an eight in this refraction, which already consists of two small circles, similar to two eyes, connected by inner tips.

The right one is the Eye of Ra, the left one is the Eye of Osiris, as the Egyptian texts say, and so it is considered in Egyptology. If you continue with this forward movement, then it will go without interruption, already along these two circles and at the same time (!) In two directions: along the right (Eye of Ra) - clockwise vital arrow, then, without stopping, along the left circle (Eye lunar, axial) - counterclockwise vital arrow (death vector). That is, we first move continuously along one large circle clockwise (the direction of life), then a certain refraction occurs, and, without interrupting the movement, we already begin to move along two circles in two directions - life and death. What happened? After the refraction, death appeared, which means time.

The main thing is that the change in direction does not violate the initially set movement. Thus, if we are moving along the figure eight, then the movement is always divided into two circles. One will always be clockwise, the other counterclockwise. And what is such a figure eight, lying horizontally, formed from two circles with connected tips? As already mentioned, these are the Left Eye and the Right Eye. The right is the Eye of the sun Ra, the heavenly and the left is the Eye of Osiris, the earthly. Osiris has always been considered an earthly god, even after his accession to the heavenly gods. In all the images he had a human face. Images of him in the form of animals or birds are not found, as was the case with the heavenly gods. The Right Eye is solarity, or life, and the left Eye of Osiris is death."

Considering that the "earthly" god Osiris in Egyptian mythology is the god of the dead, the god of the afterlife, then our true life, nevertheless, is not earthly, but "heavenly." And the symbolic essence of the scene of the "judgment of Osiris" over the souls of deceased people is to study and analyze our experience of interaction with the world of gross matter, which we receive during our life in physical reality. Only by accumulating a certain experience of this interaction (which will take far more than one life) and comprehending the laws of physical reality, we will be able to unfold this twisted horizontal eight of infinity into the original circle of a single real life, i.e. finally achieve true immortality, going beyond the limitations of space and time.
