A very unusual and sinister lot was found at the famous New Zealand web auction "Trade Me". A man recently sold a round mirror in a thick wooden frame. The ad was accompanied by a photograph showing the mirror itself and the reflection of its owner in it. However, the regulars of the site accidentally discovered an incomprehensible mysterious detail in the picture: behind the man, in the mirror reflection, a ghost was clearly imprinted - a translucent female figure!
Naturally, many users immediately thought it was a ghost. The alleged immigrant from the other world is clearly wearing a dress of the Victorian era, which prompted the idea of a female image of this ghost. Is this one of the best proofs of the reality of the afterlife? The ad quickly attracted the attention of at least 4,000 people, and 57 users placed the lot in the category of interest. On "Trade Me" you can ask sellers questions, so the owner of the mirror was immediately inundated with questions about a possible phantom in the reflection. Unfortunately, the man left everyone with one short answer:
I can't say what it is, sorry.
It is noteworthy that the item was soon acquired by a person who wished to remain incognito (a common occurrence at auctions). It is difficult to say what was more interested in the unknown buyer: the mirror itself or the mystical thing that it showed. There are many researchers of supernatural phenomena who are ready to buy any artifacts that have at least some relation to the paranormal.
By the way, we note that mirrors, like no other object, perfectly keep the memory of everyone who once looked in them. Mirrors are also considered the best guides to parallel worlds, including the afterlife. So in the ghost, which was suddenly reflected in the old mirror, I think there is nothing unusual - its former owner looked at us from there, and the current owner of this interesting object may well even establish contact with a ghostly stranger …
