50-year-old Dawn Kershaw recently visited the former psychiatric hospital Newsham Park in Liverpool, where, according to urban legends, there are numerous immigrants from the other world.

The woman became a participant in the so-called "ghost tour" of an abandoned hospital. She and about twenty other enthusiasts walked through the empty night building, accompanied by an experienced guide, wanting to see, and even better to capture the ghostly shadows on cameras.

The Englishwoman went to Ward "E", where especially deranged patients were once held, and photographed an empty corridor there. Only the next day, the Briton looked through the images and saw in the very picture something that made me even chill with fear. Dawn admits that she never had a special belief in supernatural phenomena, but what she saw in this photo made Kershaw reconsider her attitude towards mysticism. A dark human figure appeared in the frame, which was not there at the time of shooting, at least the woman did not see her. And this ominous shadow stood right in front of our heroine!

Newsham Park Mental Hospital was opened in 1874 and closed in 1949 due to lack of funding in the postwar years. Once upon a time, by the way, there was an orphanage here, and they say that the spirits of unfortunate boys and girls still huddle in an empty building, because sometimes their ringing voices and even laughter are heard. The rest of the local ghosts, as you might guess, belong to the former patients of the hospital. Dawn Kershaw suggests that she was able to photograph the phantom of the deceased patient, since the volumetric shadow in the picture is too high and does not look like a child.
