From school textbooks, many know that for almost all of ancient history, India was the center of the most important trade routes and had a rich history and culture. We were told that it was in India that such cultures as Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism originated. In short, from the 18th to the first half of the 20th century, India was a colony of the British Empire. However, after years of struggle, in 1947 the country gained independence. Since the second half of the 20th century, India has achieved significant economic and military success, and has been ranked as one of the fastest growing countries in the world. India currently has nuclear weapons and is potentially a superpower. But despite such successful achievements, centuries-old history and rich culture, India is held in captivity, around 14 million slaves are estimated worldwide.

Just the other day, all the media reported about the rape of anti-slave trade activists in India. Was taken to the jungle and raped. 14 million slaves is not a joke money and the struggle at the level of spontaneous actions of activists is quite a dangerous occupation.

In 2015, 400 children were released in the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. Child slaves were freed by police from slavery in clandestine factories.

According to research by the Australian Walk Free Foundation, there are more than 45 million slaves in the world. So, we see what percentage of the slave trade India has in the overall ranking of world slavery. So, whatever one may say, the centuries-old history, the richest culture and possession of high technologies do not determine whether you are a slave or not. And in my article, modern slavery, I will prove to you that we are all slaves.
