Slavery in its definition is such a relationship between people when a person is owned by another. Many of you will say that this is not possible in the modern world. Let's consider whether this is really so and look at the essence of the issue from the other side. In the UN universal declaration, a definition of slavery is added - a person who, of his own free will, cannot refuse to work. If you read it further, then everyone has the right to move freely within their state, leave their country and return, has the right to choose and change jobs, and so on. Can you do it all? Yes, of course, you say, but is it really so? You have to work non-stop all your life, otherwise we will only have enough money for a month. They will be enough for us to pay for a month of food, housing, transport. In theory, everyone can do everythingbut practice? Have you not yet formed the opinion that all your rights and opportunities are illusory? I. V. Stalin in 1953, covering economic problems, wrote:

“It is necessary to achieve such a cultural growth of society that would ensure all members of society the full development of their physical and mental abilities, so that members of society have the opportunity to receive an education sufficient to become active figures in social development, so that they have the opportunity to freely choose a profession, and not to be chained for life, due to the existing division of labor, to any one profession.

What is required for this? It would be wrong to think that it is possible to achieve such a serious cultural growth of the members of society without serious changes in the current situation of labor. To do this, you must first of all reduce the working day to at least 6, and then to 5 hours. This is necessary to ensure that members of the community have sufficient free time to receive a comprehensive education. For this, it is necessary, further, to introduce compulsory polytechnic education, which is necessary so that members of society have the opportunity to freely choose a profession and not be chained to one profession for the rest of their lives. To do this, it is necessary, further, to radically improve living conditions and raise the real wages of workers and employees at least twice, if not more, both by directly raising money wages, and, especially,by further systematic reduction of prices for consumer goods."

Why did I begin this article with an excerpt from I. V. Stalin's "Economic Problems of Socialism"? If you read it carefully, then you noticed that back in the distant 53, you already associated the length of the working day, wages and the availability of essential goods with the availability of FREE TIME for a person !!! I will not repeat the excerpt, but I think that only if there is free time, not burdened by the search for "food", a person can develop … … (who and how develops or degrades not in this article).

Let's see what is really going on.

In the advertisements of employers, as well as in the interview, the phrase "irregular working hours" often slips. Of course, they say that all this is compensated by money and so on. In the media, it seems, I have not heard about the increase in the length of the working day, but the retirement age will definitely be raised, and what will happen next, wait and see. And I certainly haven't heard a similar phrase from 1953 about the reduction of working hours, especially from the top officials of the state.

Promotional video:

Move on. Let's figure out why you work? I do not argue that someone works so that they do not deny themselves anything to their beloved, but most people work to provide a sufficient amount of food, clothing, housing and other vital items for their family. Only after satisfying these needs and with the availability of additional funds, a person can have free time to engage in raising children, self-development, and improving society. Do you have a lot of free time?

In China, the working day in the industrial sector is about 14 hours. Only young employees can withstand this regime and then no more than 2-3 years. For a century and a half, the power supply and production efficiency have grown hundreds of times, and the population of the earth has only seven times. Previously, the muscular strength of humans and animals was used, now we are using the results of a leap in scientific and technological progress, sources of technogenic energy. According to scientists, the technologies of the 60s of the last century made it possible to produce essential items with a working time of no more than 1 hour a day. Why, with a multiple increase in production efficiency, there is no reduction in working hours?

Let's turn on the fantasy and imagine ourselves as an ancient slave owner with a farm:

We would hardly want our slaves to work for a couple of hours on the field, start writing poems about human freedom, teach their children, etc. We would take a number of measures to prevent this:

  1. Do not shorten working hours
  2. Do not allow them to receive unnecessary essentials (in our case, the purchasing power), who does not work, he does not eat
  3. To support the degradation-parasitic needs in the slave barracks (at that time there were no gadgets), for example, we will encourage the wearing of red wooden cubes in your pocket, like the exclusivity of a slave. Accordingly, the cubes need to be earned with your hump.
  4. Get rid of unwanted elements in time (who realized that happiness is not in cubes).

This is certainly all exaggerated, but I hope you understand the general essence of the issue. The question of who is behind all this is already a conspiracy topic, and that's another article.

For the most part, people work all day long just to live, and if they have a little freedom, they are so scared of it that they look for some way to get rid of it.

This is the purpose of man!
