Mehendi Hassan, 8, from Bangladesh, is used to hiding from people because of his skin. The boy's disease has not yet been officially diagnosed, perhaps this is one of the forms of ichthyosis. The boy's body is covered with thick, flaky skin that looks like scales.
Local residents shun the child because of his appearance and the boy's mother also tries to hide him from strangers. Basically, Mehendi spends all days indoors and if he is not helped, he will spend his whole life that way.
Because of the thick skin that has lost its elasticity, his movements are constrained, it is difficult for the child even to walk. The disease slowly makes him "petrify".
The only part of the body not affected by the disease is the face and a small area on the chest. The boy got sick from birth. Mother and grandmother have since called on the entourage to help the boy, but so far all is in vain.
Mehendi can hardly wear clothes, the extra friction of the skin on something adds more excruciating pain to him. Other children are afraid of him and hate him, calling him dirty. Even the boy's grandmother can hardly be in the same room with him.
Mehendi is the third child in the family, the other two children are healthy. Mehendi himself looked healthy at birth, but after 12 days his mother noticed a small rash on his body. At first, she ignored it, believing it to be mosquito bites. But soon the rash spread to the entire abdomen, back and legs, and the skin began to peel off and rough.
Worried parents carried the boy to various local doctors, but no one could help. Doctors were not even able to diagnose the disease. In the end, they gave up these attempts.

Mehendi cannot even go to school due to illness. And it's not about traffic problems. When his parents signed him down, the boy was beaten by other children, and the teachers ignored the molestation of the sick child. He was not allowed to dine with other children, no one spoke to him, and eventually the boy returned to his room.
The mother's last hopes remained with the help of the Bangladesh government. She pleads with them to provide funds and begin treatment for Mehendi.
