Only recently it was reported that Microsoft's neural network created an abstract picture of the Dawn track. Now there is information that British developers have created a humanoid robot artist named Ai-Da. And soon there will be an exhibition of his works.

The system uses artificial intelligence, draws portraits and conceptual paintings in the genre of abstract art. The robot is also able to walk and answer questions using believable facial expressions. The robot itself was named after mathematician Ada Lovelace.

According to exhibition organizer Aidan Möller, Ai-Da creates canvases in the style of "broken light" that show the fragility of the environment and nature. At the same time, according to him, the researchers cannot say for sure what exactly Ai-Da will draw.

He also expressed the hope that interest in the exhibition will stimulate public control over technology and artificial intelligence. According to Meller, the world is at the beginning of a new era of humanoid robots, so it will be very interesting to see how they affect art.

The exhibition, titled "Unsecured Futures", kicks off June 12 in Oxford. The organizer likened the robot Ai-Da to the emergence of photography, when it seemed that classical art would die. But, as it turned out, photographic equipment only supplemented the existing techniques.
