In the English county of Cumbria, doctors saved the life of a teenager who was underwater for 25 minutes. The Daily Mail reports. The rescue operation for 13-year-old Kacper Krauze involved firefighters, police and emergency personnel. When the boy was pulled out of the river, his heart did not beat. The victim was taken to the hospital by helicopter and underwent extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) - emergency blood oxygenation.

The equipment used for ECMO was able to warm Krause's blood. This turned out to be extremely important - his body temperature dropped critically. As a result, doctors managed to save the teenager's life. On Tuesday 7 May, Krause visited the charity accompanied by his parents. The journalists talked to his family. “He gets better every day. It's some kind of miracle that he survived, - said his mother Violetta.

Many thanks to the helicopter ambulance. Excellent work. Real professionals”. In February, it was reported that police in China pulled a child out of a seething river stream. An 11-year-old boy was playing by the river and accidentally fell into the icy water. The police rescued him safely, changed into dry clothes and took him to the hospital for examination.
