A team of experts from the University of Edinburgh came to an interesting conclusion: it turns out that the smallest particles of cosmic dust are responsible for the movement of microscopic living organisms in outer space. Apparently, this is how life was brought to Earth. Previously, it was believed that only meteorites could carry microbes, but now it can be done by cosmic dust.

According to the results of research published on the official website of the Cornell University library, the rapid streams of cosmic dust that tirelessly bombard the gas envelope of the globe are capable of transporting tiny organisms over long distances: at the same time, they can "pick up" bacteria from the Earth and send them to distant galaxies, allowing life to originate in such a place.

According to the researchers, the dust streams are capable of accelerating up to 70 kilometers per second. This acceleration provokes a collision of particles with the atmosphere of the Blue Ball, which "catapults" them into the very depths of space.
