John Sotos, an expert for the California National Guard in Sacramento, created a unique model that explains the Fermi paradox, that is, answers the question of why we do not see a mind like ours in space.
According to this model, there is no extraterrestrial intelligence in the Universe because of the “great filter”. The scientist came to the conclusion that any mind, like the one that originated on Earth, sooner or later destroys itself with the help of biotechnology.
Modifying Drake's equation, introducing into it a factor responsible for the self-destruction of the mind using biotechnology, John Sotos realized that mankind most of all should be wary of genetic methods, which will certainly be used in personal medicine, and this, in turn, ultimately destroys intelligent a life. The researcher published his findings on the arXiv.org website.
It seems that ufologists, conspiracy theorists, supporters of the world conspiracy and so on, who believe that our planet has long been under the cap of extraterrestrial civilizations, will not agree with the conclusions of Sotos, to say the least: humanity itself is a genetic experiment of a higher cosmic mind.
However, the conclusions of the American researcher do not contradict at all, but only supplement the theory of aliens and even to some extent can explain why the higher cosmic intelligence, showing us its technical achievements, does not come into contact. This is not a human mind, but the “consequences” of its unreasonable activity, since all these “flying saucers” and other unearthly wonders can only be an invasion of our planet by biorobots. Impassive and indifferent to our problems robots, which were the result of passion for biotechnology.
John Sotos does not insist that his theory is indisputable, but at the same time draws people's attention to this: we have not yet found confirmation of the presence of cosmic intelligence in the Universe. But if he really was there (moreover, at any level of development), he would certainly come into contact with us: this is the property of humanity - to look for their own kind. What can not be said about biorobots, whose presence, even if there is on Earth, is indifferent to our "primitive" biological mind.
