In 1998, a group of scientists from Princeton University created the Global Consciousness project. Within the framework of this project, hardware generators of random events are located around the world, connected via the Internet into a single network. In our country, there are sensors in Moscow and Vladivostok.
A random event generator is a small box with a microcircuit that every second generates a packet of random data, consisting of 200 bits, and transmits it to a server at Princeton University. There, the collection and analysis of incoming data takes place. The results of the experiment, which began at the end of the last century, are amazing. Whenever a global event occurs, there are significant deviations from the average. During the operation of the generator, more than 200 deviations from the norm were recorded.
The strongest fluctuations were observed during the tragic events in Beslan in September 2004, on September 11, 2001 during the terrorist attack in the United States, in 2006 during the devastating earthquake on the island of Java. And at the end of August 2011, during Hurricane Irene, the generator “shook” again.

At first, the haberdasher amused himself with a new gift, but gradually vanity and lust for power prevailed. He wanted to rule over nature itself! Fotheringay orders Earth to stop. The planet obeys, but the whirlwinds and hurricanes raging on it lift people, houses, cars into the air and carry everything into outer space. The haberdasher realizes that he has gone too far and asks to return everything to its place.
URI GELLER IN KNOCKOUT
Surely most people would dream of moving objects with just the power of thought, but is it possible? The most famous telekinesis controversy took place in 1973 on The Johnny Carson Show. It was attended by the famous Israeli psychic Uri Geller and professional illusionist Amazing Randy.
Uri Geller claimed that he could bend spoons with the power of thought, and James Randi was engaged in exposing fraudsters who claim to be extraordinary abilities. Most amazingly, these three - Carson, Geller and Randy - started out the same way - as illusionists.
Backstage, Randy persuaded Carson to bring his own spoons on the air. Carson did just that. And when he invited Uri to bend the cutlery he had prepared, Geller, no matter how hard he tried, could not repeat his own "feat." But a little later, the “unbending” spoons were easily bent by Amazing Randy, warning the audience in advance that this was not psychokinesis, but a common trick. At the same time, on the show, Randy offered a million dollars to someone who can convince the public of his ability to influence objects with the power of thought. 38 years have passed - and not a single psychic has ever received the coveted prize.
TALENT ON DEMAND
During this time, non-governmental institutions and specially created parapsychological institutions tried to solve the riddle of telekinesis. At the Rhine Institute at Duke University, under strict scientific supervision, many experiments on telekinesis were carried out, but they did not give a concrete result. Gertrude Schmeidler - President of the American Parapsychology Association - has been interested in extrasensory perception for many years, conducting endless research.
She studied the abilities of many famous mediums and magicians, but her experiments led to almost nothing. According to her, among the host of psychics, she could not find a single one who would demonstrate her abilities on demand. By and large, only one experiment can be considered a success. Gertrude placed several tiny but rather sensitive temperature sensors in the room. One subject was able to mentally raise the temperature of one of the sensors by 0.1 degrees. In 1979, these same Americans conducted the most thorough studies of telekinesis. Robert Jahn, dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Princeton University, wanted to know if the power of thought alone could influence the outcome of random events. In 28 years (the program was closed in 2007), thousands of experiments have been carried out, including more than 1.7 million tests. And what? The result confirmed the existence of telekinesis - only a very weak one.
In 1988, the US Army approached the National Research Council with a request to investigate reports of paranormal activity in certain individuals. Military officials would dream of seeing supernatural people in their ranks, those who can leave the body, walk through walls, heal with the power of thought, move through the air. Not a single worthy candidate was found! The army officials had to continue to rely on the military training of the fighters.
TELEKINESIS EXISTS
Despite the disappointing results, many prominent scientists are ready to subscribe to this statement. Simply, they assure us, we still know very little about the capabilities of the human body and the nature of many physical phenomena. The deviation from the norm in the operation of the generator of random events during popular unrest and natural disasters is another proof of this. But in the future, when telekinesis can be curbed, it can be put, for example, at the service of people with disabilities.
Telekinesis using a radio or computer amplifier is the ultimate dream of specialists. Already today they are working to ensure that a certain type of wave pattern appears on the device screen at the request of a person. The resulting image can be sent to a computer, which, according to the program, will recognize the type of wave pattern and execute the appropriate command - turn on some device or start the engine.
So, with the help of thoughts, the paralyzed person will be able to control his own wheelchair. That is, every patient confined to a wheelchair will become "a person who can work miracles." It's scary even to think what a healthy person will be capable of! Uri Geller's bent spoons will seem like child's play compared to the possibilities that will open before each of us.
