According to the researchers, the ruins of an ancient city found underwater off the coast of Cuba are at a depth of 600 feet (about 182 meters). Scientists estimate that it is more than 10,000 years old.

But during this work, the married couple discovered strange formations at the bottom of the sea, which seemed to them to be artificial structures. Then Weinzberg and his wife began looking for opportunities and sponsors for more detailed research. And then finallyin 2012, scientists were able to explore the seabed with a robot that captured the ruins of a city on the seabed 700 meters north of Cuba's eastern coast.
The formation of the Cuban underwater pyramids testifies to the fact that this place was once a huge ancient metropolis, which was destroyed as a result of rising sea levels and a catastrophic earthquake.

Using deep sea equipment, scientists discovered pyramids similar in shape but larger in size than Giza in Egypt. They estimated that the underwater pyramid was also built of very heavy stones, weighing several hundred tons.

The architecture of this underwater city resembles the culture of the ancient civilization Teotihuacan, located in Mexico.
