In the Volgograd region, not far from the village of Karshevitoe, there is the Volgo-Akhtubinskaya floodplain. It is a small land area located between the Volga and its left arm - Akhtuba. The floodplain is about 450 kilometers long and 5 to 10 kilometers wide. Due to this location and the large amount of water, the floodplain has a fairly rich flora and fauna - especially in comparison with the surrounding steppes. Also on the territory of the floodplain there are two nature parks and one nature reserve. But there is one strange place in this floodplain, which is called the Karshevitskoe loan. Here there have been cases when, during a thunderstorm, people witnessed leaps in time.
One of these incidents happened relatively recently - in 2000. Then a local electronic engineer, during his camping trip, had to hide from a sudden storm in a tent. He was not alone: his daughter and a group of friends were with him. Therefore, there were several witnesses of the inexplicable phenomenon.
Later, the engineer said that when the lightning began to strike, he was counting the seconds. He knew that depending on how many seconds passed from flash to thunder, he could calculate how far the lightning strikes. And even then he noticed a discrepancy in his calculations. 13 seconds passed between the flashes, which means that the lightning was at an approximate distance of 4 kilometers from tourists. But when the next flash and crash rang out, there were only 2 seconds between them. That is, lightning somehow very quickly approached the tent with people and was now only half a kilometer away from them.
Then the man prepared to count the next seconds. The time was late - about 12 o'clock in the morning. And as soon as he mentally managed to count: "One …", suddenly morning came. All who were in the tent, immediately roused themselves, left it. The street smelled of rain, the sun was shining, there was a feeling that it was already 9 o'clock in the morning. But no one remembered how they fell asleep. They only remembered how they lay in a tent, covered with blankets, and talked to drive away fear from the raging elements. Nor could anyone remember the dream itself. The impression was that the morning came much earlier than its usual time.
After this story, another similar one happened - with a local fisherman. He went fishing to these places on Saturday. And also got caught in a thunderstorm with powerful thunder and lightning. He was at that moment not far from the tent. After some regular discharge, he suddenly found himself right next to his tent, and the sun was already hot around him: not a trace remained of the thunderstorm. Moreover, fish flapped their tails in the water in the forest lake.

A little later, leaving a strange forest, the fisherman met a local resident. He was surprised that someone decided to fish here. He said that this is not a fishy place at all, there is no bite at all. He also noted that after a thunderstorm, something strange is happening here. Then he congratulated the fisherman on his Sunday catch and left. That is, the time again somehow jumped by almost a day. Another surprising and inexplicable match - but after these two cases, people observed a strange shiny ash left on the plants nearby.
