Since the beginning of autumn, the Orenburg media, social media users and bloggers have been writing about the strange night glow over Orenburg. RIA56 managed not only to photograph the aurora in the sky, but also to unravel its origin.
Every night a bright spotlight hits from behind the Steppe district of Orenburg. It scatters across the sky in a large yellow spot. Observers named several probable sources and causes of the aurora at once: from light pillars and scattered halos to UFOs over the regional center.
In reality, suburban enterprises created a mysterious spot over Orenburg. In particular, we are talking about Kushkul greenhouses. The bright light in the greenhouse every night was superimposed on the refractive effect, as a result of which a huge yellow spot spread in the sky over Orenburg.
- Recently, Orenburg residents began to notice a strange glow of the sky above the city. UFO or some other unexplained phenomenon? Thousands of witnesses all over the city, hundreds of posts on the Internet … The Orenburg Orion Astronomical Club made stunning shots of this large-scale glow in the atmosphere, and also hurries to calm everyone down - this UFO has a cucumber and tomato origin, - says RIA56 photographer Sergey Medvedev, together with the astronomy club Orion photographed the spot and calculated its location.
The yellow spot effect over the city creates a tracing of light in the atmosphere - fog and clouds in cold weather around bright light sources.
