In India, a two-year-old tore off a third-floor balcony and survived by cushioning wires. The Daily Mail drew attention to the video of the incident. The video, filmed on March 4 in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, shows a flash and then a child falls in front of a woman walking down the street, knocking the phone out of her hands. A shocked Indian woman sits on a curb nearby, and two men rush to the boy's aid and take the unconscious child in their arms. Several girls run up to them, one of them grabs her head.

Soon a car drives up to the scene, one of the girls picks up the child and leaves for the nearest hospital. It is reported that doctors examined the boy, found only a few abrasions and bruises and, just in case, sent him to a better hospital. There, the doctors again came to the conclusion that the boy had not received serious injuries and "miraculously cheated death." He was discharged the same day. As it turned out later, a two-year-old boy named Karthik was playing on the balcony without parental supervision and fell into the gap between the railing.
