Transition to the Subtle World
“… A person leaves his physical body forever. Although he used to leave it every day for several hours, but each time he returned - this is a dream. However, this time he threw off the physical body for good, so that, like a worn-out dress, he would no longer wear it. Because the time has come for a person to leave the physical world. This period is established by the Lords of Karma when a person appears in this world. The duration of life in the Dense World is determined for each person.
The dense body thrown off by a man served him as a "guide" of life in the physical world. It was a tool for acting in it - nothing more. Leaving the body, a person thereby loses the opportunity to live in the Dense World and this World ceased to exist for him.
However, man has not yet completely left the earthly world. Having thrown off only the dense part of the physical body, consisting of solid, liquid and gaseous particles - what later received the name of a "cold corpse", a person takes with him the whole "life" of this body: heat, electricity and other subtle energies - what in the East it is called the "etheric body".
Having only this lower astral body as its outer shell, a person becomes invisible to those in the physical world. Having a strong desire, he could accept the appearance of a "ghost" and appear to his loved ones in the form of a cloudy figure. But those who saw him might be afraid.
At the moment of leaving the dense body, a person relived his past life. In these short moments, the panorama of his entire physical life flashed before him. From all the forgotten nooks and corners, alternating pictures appeared, one event after another.
In this hour of death, the prevailing meaning of all life was revealed, its guiding thought became clear. The man saw himself as he really is. It was a solemn moment when he stood face to face with his life. A film of his earthly life passes before him, whether he likes it or not, and evokes in it the reaction of those moments that sounded to him especially tense and poignant. Its future depends on this sound, but the will of a person cannot break them at this moment, it is impossible to intervene and change anything.
How good it was that everyone at his deathbed was quiet and reverent. They recognized themselves in the solemn presence of Death - and solemnly were silent. Loud crying and noisy complaints can disturb the dying person and disrupt focus. It is inadmissible to call a person back to the earthly sphere when the spirit has already been torn away (from an unnecessary or useless body).

… What kind of death should be considered natural? Of course, the most natural death is from old age. Sometimes it is necessary to recognize natural death from an illness, because as usual, a person carries in himself the embryo of a disease from birth. Given the ugly and unnatural living conditions created by depraved humanity, almost all deaths can be viewed as unnatural. Disease often helps the subtle body to cleanse itself of many abominations, therefore a long illness sometimes contributes to a better transition. Of course, almost all of the so-called "accidents" are the result of karma.
… Sincere dying repentance, the last bright thought and powerful striving for the Highest carry the spirit of a person into the Higher spheres of the Subtle World, in full accordance with this vibration or striving.
The subtle body is actually subtle. It can freely penetrate all walls and through all physical barriers. Only in the subtle body could Christ appear unexpectedly among the disciples after His Resurrection, when they were in a locked room. The subtle body does not suffer from cold or heat, and it, in the literal sense of the word, does not burn in fire and does not sink in water. In the subtle body, one can sink to the bottom of the ocean without any harm or danger to oneself.
Refinement or coarsening of the subtle body occurs in the earthly world when a person is in his physical body. Everything affects the matter of the subtle body: drinking, food, alcohol, smoking, feelings, thoughts, deeds, and all human behavior.
People on the subtle plane do not eat or drink, but sometimes they are intensely hungry, thirsty; spend time in gluttony and dullness. Everything is and there is nothing, because everything is created and destroyed by thought. The subtle body is nourished, but by sound, color and smell.
… After being freed from the physical shell, her sensations clog her consciousness for a long time, and it takes time to finally get rid of them. After all, the feeling of hunger, thirst and the need for ordinary food remain in the mind for a long time, as relics of the past. And if a person has not learned to master these feelings in earthly life and to subordinate them to the will, then there they become obsolete gradually.
After death, a person does not receive any new subtle body, for while living on Earth, he lives in his shells, constantly influencing them and introducing elements into their structure that refine or coarse them.
The senses are the same: smell, touch, hearing, sight, taste. A sixth sense is added to this - straight-knowledge, or direct, direct cognition of the phenomena of the Subtle World, which manifests itself among the disembodied in varying degrees of aggravation, which depends on previous accumulations.
Any thought taken into consciousness is reflected in the subtle body. The shell of the subtle body is created by human thoughts. Thoughts and feelings bring into it the corresponding elements of subtle matter. Sublime and pure thoughts introduce into it luminous and light matter, impure and heavy - heavy, dense, motionless particles. The degrees of subtle matter are very different, as well as its luminosity. The behavior of some people in the Subtle World is very shameful. So they accustomed themselves during their earthly life to behavior unworthy, accustomed themselves, and as a result, their subtle body. Something that is affirmed in the physical world is thereby affirmed in the thin shell. It continues to reveal itself in the same direction in the Subtle World …
Why is spiritual life given so little attention, when exactly it determines the Supermundane existence? Short earthly life. Subtle existence exceeds it many times over. And that inner life, which in the physical body was invisible and hidden, in the subtle receives its full expression and not limited by earthly conditions, and then everything secret and hidden becomes obvious and visible to those around. And blessing is he who can not be ashamed of his light. And if this light is darkness ?! How then?
For a consciously developed human spirit, the time spent on the astral plane (the lower spheres of the Subtle World) could be limited to an interval of 40 days, but various earthly conditions continued this time to endlessness. Among those carried off the earth, unhappy regret (for physical pleasures) binds them (to the dense world). The effect (of physical affection) is best represented in the biblical legend of Lot. For a new life, they left the city and only one condition was set: not to turn around. But Lot's wife (human soul) turned around and tied herself to the earthly world.
Religion says: “He who goes to the fathers, he will be with them. He who goes to the Angels will be with them. He who goes to God will abide with Him. This means that whoever has assigned himself the greatest movement gets the best achievement. Therefore, the best parting words to those coming from the Earth will be - hurry, without looking back …
