A lamb with a human-like face was born in Turkey. According to veterinarians, the phenomenon is caused by vitamin deficiency.
A stillborn kid has caused confusion in the Turkish city of Izmir. 29-year-old veterinarian Elibol Erhan helped a goat to give birth on one of the farms by caesarean section.
However, the lamb was still not saved. No matter how hard the vets tried to bring him back to life. Most of all, the veterinarians were struck by the fact that the outlines of the mutant's head were almost an exact copy of a human face.
“I have already encountered mutations in cows and sheep. I saw a one-eyed calf, a calf with two heads, there were also cubs with five legs, but when I saw this fetus, I could not believe my eyes. His mother could not give birth on her own, I had to have a cesarean section. The lamb's head strikingly resembled a human face - eyes, nose, mouth. Only sheep's ears were left,”said the 29-year-old veterinarian.
The further fate of the mutant is unknown. It is assumed that he will be sent for large-scale research. Scientists will try to find out what caused such a strange and at the same time terrible mutation.
