Demon, short definition
Legend has it that a long time ago, when there was no Earth, a revolution took place in the sky. One of the angels named Lucifer decided to depart from God, or rather, to take his place. Together with Lucifer, other angels turned away from God and began to be called demons.
Simply put, there was an attempted coup in the sky. It is difficult to say which of them is right and who is not. After all, all religious scriptures write that God with angels is good, and the Devil (Lucifer) with demons is evil. But, considering what the planet Earth is (wars, diseases, hunger, suffering, etc.), it is difficult to call God good. But, the scriptures write that God is good, Lucifer is evil. So be it! You can even draw a certain analogy here. During the Soviet era, the October Revolution and Lenin were good, and in 1991, the revolution was called a coup, and Lenin turned into a villain. But that's another story.
Demon - A former angel who went over to the side of the Devil. It is said that about a third of the angels have gone over to the Devil's side. A lot! It is believed that demons have tremendous power, and their main task is to lure as many souls as possible to the side of the Devil.
Demon Hierarchy
The Devil is at the head of the demons. Eight main demons are close to the Devil, each of which has its own specific tasks. The main demons obey other demons and so on. At the lowest level are demons, who have every chance of becoming demons.
