My brother was always full of strange ideas. It will take him into his head to look for ancient treasures, then to grow a mustache to his shoulders, then to grow vegetables of geometric shapes. His parents put up with his extravagance, but those around him considered him a fool or crazy.

Several years ago, Sergei got the idea that it would be great to film ghosts or other evil spirits. For this, I know, he traveled to abandoned places and "guarded" the spirits for hours.

Once he persuaded me to go to the Tattinsky district to the Devil's Gate. We stayed there for two nights, but we never saw anything. Then, to entertain me, Sergei talked about how he saw unusual things in other places. When I asked why he hadn't filmed it, he replied that something was always interfering: the camera stopped working or the unusual was not recorded on the video. He also said that he found a man possessed by a demon. You've seen enough of Hollywood horror films, I laughed. But he continued to claim that the man was possessed and promised to show him to me.

Arthur is a young and rather neat bum, I didn't like it right away. I don’t believe, or rather I didn’t believe it then, I had some sinister aura. He smiled a lot, but the smile came out with a predatory grin and aroused dislike. Arthur laughingly told me that my brother thought he was possessed because of his epileptic seizures. For a homeless person, he was too talkative and frank. He said that he was suffering from some kind of disease of the nervous system, only I did not remember the name. Sergei begged him to go to the rite of exile. And who will do it, I asked him. The brother replied that he himself, since he had already read a lot about it and theoretically knows how to do it. He asked me to help with this, if Arthur agrees.

A week later, he called me and asked to help me find Arthur. According to Sergei, Arthur had a drink the night before with some other homeless people under the house where his brother lives. They said that Arthur suddenly had a seizure, after which he attacked them with fists, bit one hand and ran away. I didn't want to go in search of a homeless person. You see, he was gone for a day, but this is a bum, his months may not be.

On the same day, Sergei found him and said that he had persuaded his parents to settle him temporarily in our country house. I was outraged and quarreled with him. I learned from my parents that my brother had also moved to the country house. Over the weekend, I went to them to persuade my brother to kick this Arthur out.

Sergey looked very tired - blue circles under his eyes, a sunken face, a sluggish gait. He said that he tried to single-handedly exorcize the demon, but failed to complete the matter. Then I saw Arthur, he looked even worse. I didn’t even recognize him right away, because in these couple of weeks he had lost almost half of his weight and seemed to have aged 20 years. At the first meeting I did not notice his gray hair, but now a thick lock of hair was silvery over his left ear. While I was looking at him, he began to change in his face. Suddenly, a large shiver ran through Arthur's body, and he fell on his back, then he had a seizure.

Then I couldn’t believe my eyes, Arthur was 30 centimeters off the ground. He was flying! Then Sergei shouted to me to hold his hands and press him to the ground. I was shocked, but followed his instructions. A few minutes later, Arthur sat down on the ground and began to curse us. He said that my brother would die, choking on his own vomit, and they would pick me up piece by piece from the asphalt. I could not stand it and hit him in the face, and then a solid black hole in my memory.

I remember from the place where I got to my feet and looked around. Sergei was sitting next to me on the ground, blood was flowing from his nose, and Arthur was nowhere to be found. He was gone forever.

Sergei was looking for him, although I tried to persuade him not to do it. He didn't find it. And in the summer of that year, what Arthur had predicted happened to him. The brother went to the district to visit his friend, returned to the city already in a coffin. Officially, he died of asphyxia caused by allergies, his parents tried to make sure that no one knew that he just got drunk and choked on vomit.

When they told me how he died, I almost had a blow. Since this prediction of a homeless person came true, then, probably, about me, too, will come true. I am afraid all the time now, and at night I have nightmares, and I dream of laughing Arthur.
