You can argue for as long as you like whether there is an afterlife or not, however, as even a baby understands, until a person himself is THERE and makes sure of this personally, no one can convince or dissuade him. Nevertheless, throughout the history of mankind, this is exactly what many religions, preachers, enlightened people and, of course, scientists have been doing, and neither side has been able to prove their case. Among those who tried to do this, that is, make people believe in the afterlife, was the famous English writer Arthur Conan Doyle, whom we all know from his series of books about the unsurpassed detective Sherlock Holmes.
Conan Doyle himself was not just a believer, but even a mystic. He was fond of spiritualism, trying in this way to prove (presumably, first of all to himself) that the afterlife exists. It seems that he managed to do this for himself, which is why his fellow writers considered Arthur too romantic, for example, Gilbert Chesterton even said that Conan Doyle is more like his hero, Dr. Watson, than Sherlock Holmes.
But in the last years of his life, Arthur Conan Doyle set himself the idea of proving to others the existence of a soul in a man and through the looking glass, where it ends up after death. At least, he wanted his relatives and people close to him to believe in this. And he, I must admit, to some extent succeeded. So, at the age of 71, he suddenly announces to them that he has a warning from the spirits and knows exactly when he will die - July 7, 1930. It was on this day that the famous British writer died.
But that is not all. Earlier, Arthur handed the letter to his wife and asked to print it only after his death. This is what she read when she opened the envelope on July 7: “I still managed to convince you, gentlemen atheists, that there is no death. Therefore, see you soon in the next world! It is believed that by doing so, the writer wiped his nose with unbelievers. What do you think, is this convincing proof of the existence of the afterlife?..
